Only drilling can prove for sure accuracy of the interpretation results in seismic prospecting. But even this technique can't give us information about seismic waves inside Earth crust (their traces, energy losses etc.) which is necessary for development of new seismic prospecting methods, including diffraction- and scattering-based methods. Modern numerical methods and supercomputers with permanently increasing performance give qualitatively new opportunity for studying seismic wave propagation. We use this couple of technologies to make tool for exploration seismic response from geological objects with different shape and containment. The main advantage of the proposed technique from plenty of existing ones is that authors used finite volume method for Lame equations' solution instead of ray approach (like in optics) usually used to solve problems of this kind. Because of this key feature it is possible to take into account not only reflection and refractions phenomena but also scattering and diffraction. On the base of the proposed method software complex for parallel supercomputer has been developed. Seismic responses from models of cavernous oil deposit and fracturing deposit have been obtained as first results of implementation of the techniques. The proposed technique and software complex itself can be applied not only for fundamental seismic problems but also for industrial applications. For example it can be applied as a tool for checking results of interpretation of seismic data and for searching for disagreement of interpretation with initial field data.

In many medical systems a reliable energy sources play an important role. In the case of failure of external energy system, the local electrical supply has to be activated. Such electrical sources should be environmentally friendly, infallible and easy in usage. The fuel cells using hydrogen as an energy source fulfil these conditions. Numerical modelling of such electrical sources is the primary aim of this publication. Influence of the distribution of temperature on the current density and electric potential fields in electrode of the PEM fuel cell is thoroughly considered. The problem is stated as coupled field problem, where partial differential equations describing mass transport are coupled with Laplace equations describing electric potential and temperature distribution. At the end some illustrative example is given
