Koncepcja I.F. Archarda została przyjęta w niniejszej pracy za podstawę rozważań zmierzających do ustalenia struktury bilansu energetycznego tarcia i zużywania. Uwzględniono liczbę styków zaistniałą podczas tarcia - związaną ze zużywaniem, w celu scharakteryzowania procesów dyssypacji i akumulacji energii. Określono strukturę bilansu energii i opracowano wzory opisujące ciepło dyssypacji i pracę wydatkowaną na tworzenie cząstek zużycia. Zamieszczono wyniki obliczeń opisanych wielkości dla przykładu zużycia ściernego żelaza armco i miedzi.

According to I. F. Archard, the volume of weared material on definite friction road depends from real surface the point of contact and probability of emission oneself the particle of wear. This probability is function of number the appeared points of contact of area unevenness indispensable to form wear particle. The I. F. Archard's conception was received in presented work for basis the considerations aiming to settlement the structure of energetistic friction and wearing balance. It was appered the number of contact points considered during friction - connected from wearing, to characterize the processes dissipation and accumulation of energy. As a base of considerations is that warm of energy leave from elementary place of friction contact, there accumulate only the energy which is equal the dissipation machanical work. In worked out model step out both the parameters of friction and some mechanical properties of wearing material. It was qualified the structure of energy balance and work out the describing examples the dissipation work and work spended on creating the wear particles. The results of described sizes calculations were put for example of abrasive wear the the armco iron and copper.
