An analysis of the influence of piezoelectric elements on the damping of a shaft's torsion vibration damping was conducted in the paper, constructioneal friction between the shaft and the actuator was taken into account. A mathematical model of a inseparable sleeve-shaft joint was made for the purpose of the analysis. The resulting differential equations describing amplitude and phase were solved using the asymptotic Bogolubov-Krilov-Mitropolski method. The equations were solved for the case of a uniformly changing frequency of the driving torque in order to examine the influence of amplification on the damping efficiency. Basing on numeric simulations of the acquired equations an increase in the damping efficiency in correspondence to the increased amplification coefficient could be observed.
