Two techniques of noise removal have been presented in the following article. A so-called "salt and pepper'' noise is assumed. Both algorithms arc based on threshold decomposition, according to which binary slices of an image are obtained. First method looks for sets of similar pixels which have been called conglutinations. If the algorithm detects a noised group of pixels, it will be filtered. The latter makes use of morphology operations. Each slice of an image is filtered using some sequence of opening and closing.
