Recently the final version of Eurocode 1 Part 4 "Action on Silos and Tanks" [1] has been approved by CEN, as well as the translation to Polish version PN-EN of this Standard has been done [2]. The final application rules and principles are changed in many points compared to previous versions and also are different than these given in the Polish Silo Standard [3]. In this paper the most important concepts of silo load due to particulate solid pressure calculation recommended in Eurocode 1 Part 4 are presented and some comparison with results of own experimental tests Polish Standard recommendations are given.
