Postęp techniczny prowadzi do rozwoju gospodarczego, co powoduje wzrost zapotrzebowania na energię w tym pierwotną. Jednym ze sposobów wytwarzania energii niezbędnej do napędzania silników i pojazdów są paliwa. W pracy przedstawiono genezę powstania obiektów dystrybucji paliw, wskazano na kluczowe aspekty ich wprowadzania na świecie, wymagania prawne dla takich obiektów na gruncie polskiego prawodawstwa oraz ich wpływ na środowisko. Przeanalizowano dane dostępne w zakresie ilości pojazdów zarejestrowanych na paliwa alternatywne w Europie oraz kierunki rozwoju, zajmujących się dystrybucją paliw, koncernów, które chcą osiągnąć neutralność klimatyczną a jednocześnie muszą zapewnić paliwa transportowe dla odbiorców. Stwierdzono, że transformacja energetyczna oraz rodzaj stosowanych nośników energii i paliw silnikowych napędzających pojazdy samochodowe związany będzie ze zmianą i ewolucją obiektów dystrybucji paliw.

The technical progress leads to economic growth, which increases the demand for energy, including primary energy. One way to generate the energy needed to run engines and vehicles is through fuel. The paper presents the genesis of the establishment of fuel distribution facilities, gives the main aspects of their introduction in the world, legal requirements for such facilities under Polish legislation and their impact on the environment. The data available on the number of vehicles registered for alternative fuels in Europe and the development directions of fuel distribution, companies that want to achieve climate neutrality while supplying transport fuels to recipients at the same time, were analyzed. It was found that the energy transformation and the type of energy carriers and motor fuels used to power motor vehicles will be related to the change and evolution of fuel distribution facilities.

The amendment to the Polish Renewable Energy Act creates great opportunities for the development of the biogas market in Poland. Years of experience in biogas production in Western Europe and the development of biogas installations in Poland indicate the requirement to look for alternative substrates to those produced from dedicated crop production (mainly maize silage). Feasible solutions include the use of biodegradable waste from agriculture or industry as well as municipal landfill sites. The usage of these substrates in the methane fermentation process offers low cost, high biogas production and the safe management of biowaste. The arguments for using them in biogas installations are persuasive. This article presents new approaches of biogas plant installation solutions which allows for the effective fermentation of biowaste from animal and vegetable production, from the agro-food industry and from municipal waste.

Sady drzew owocowych istniały w niektórych parkach publicznych od początku ich istnienia w XIX wieku. Oprócz roli użytkowej, w XX i XXI wieku zyskały także inne znaczenia: ozdobne - ze względu na wysokie walory estetyczne drzew owocowych w porze kwitnienia i owocowania, przyrodnicze i ekologiczne - związane ze wspieraniem różnorodności biologicznej, kulturowe - w kontekście pamięci o dawnych formach użytkowania ogrodów wiejskich i działkowych, społeczne - jako przestrzeń do wypoczynku, a nawet lecznicze - jako element hortiterapii. Rosnąca popularność sadów wskazuje na zmieniające się trendy kształtowania współczesnych parków publicznych.

Fruit tree orchards were present in some public parks from the very beginning of their existence in the 19th century. Apart from the utilitarian role, in the 20th and 21st centuries, they also gained different ones: ornamental - on account of high aesthetic qualities of fruit trees in the flowering and fruit-bearing seasons, environmental and ecological - related to supporting biodiversity, cultural - in the context of memory of old forms of using rural and allotment gardens, social - as a space for leisure, and even therapeutic - as an element of hortitherapy. The growing popularity of orchards indicates a change in the trends in contemporary public parks development.

New trends in sustainable design contribute to prevention of the deterioration of the natural environment and they are focused on the optimisation of the indoor environment for the improvement of the human life quality. There are complementary goals of sustainable design – the comfort of architecture users, proper spatial planning, and, as a priority, taking into account the needs of both contemporary and future generations. These existential needs are connected with both local and global sozological problems. These are related to the continuing growth of irreversible changes to the environment, such as climate change, the disappearance of biodiversity, and the over-exploitation of nonrenewable sources of energy as result of shortsighted economy. These imply the necessity for the sozological education in all subjects of study and transdisciplinary training focused on the solving of problems associated with sustainable development.

Nowe tendencje w zakresie projektowania zrównoważonego przeciwstawiają się degradacji środowiska przyrodniczego i są ukierunkowane na optymalizację środowiska wewnątrz budynków w celu poprawy jakość życia człowieka. Poza dążeniem do komfortu użytkowania architektury i odpowiednim zagospodarowaniem przestrzeni priorytetem projektowania zrównoważonego jest realizacja potrzeb zarówno współczesnego człowieka, jak również przyszłych pokoleń. Z tymi egzystencjalnymi potrzebami wiążą się problemy sozologiczne zarówno o zasięgu lokalnym, jak i globalnym. Dotyczą one nasilających się i nieodwracalnych zmian środowiska, takich jak: ocieplenia klimatu, zanikanie bioróżnorodności, wyczerpywanie się nieodnawialnych źródeł energii, połączone z rabunkową gospodarką. Implikuje to konieczność edukacji sozologicznej na wszystkich kierunkach studiów i szkolenia interdyscyplinarne pod katem rozwiązywania problemów zrównoważonego rozwoju.

Due to the increasing costs of urban traffic congestion, new trends of consumer behaviour in passenger transportation may be observed. Among those trends three seem to be particularly significant, i.e. collaborative journeys (as a form of collaborative consumption), carsharing and helping other road users via mobile apps (as a form of consumer citizenship behaviour). The theoretic deliberations about the trends have been supplemented by results of direct quantity research presenting respondents’ opinions about contemporary consumer behaviours.

Transport szynowy a zwłaszcza kolejowy to istotny element systemu transportowego. Postrzegany jest on jako rozwiązanie narastających problemów ekologicznych i przewozowych integrującej się Europy. W artykule szczególny nacisk położono na transport kolejowy. Wskazano, iż rozwój transportu lotniczego w zakresie połączeń lokalnych (krajowych) oraz dynamiczny rozwój prywatnej komunikacji autobusowej wymusza na transporcie kolejowym wdrażanie innowacyjnych rozwiązań celem dostosowania się do oczekiwań rynku, w tym przede wszystkim klienta. Rozwiązania te dotyczą zarówno infrastruktury transportu kolejowego, środków transportu oraz infrastruktury dodatkowej pozwalającej na kompleksową obsługę klienta. W artykule przedstawiono problemy związane z wdrażaniem innowacyjnych rozwiązań na kolei w Polsce. Wskazano na problemy wynikające ze strony popytowej tj. kolei i jej gotowości do wdrażania innowacyjnych rozwiązań oraz strony podażowej tj. podaży wiedzy i rozwiązań innowacyjnych ze strony przedstawicieli nauki, instytutów badawczych i uczelni.

Rail transport and especially railway is an important element of the transport system. It is seen as a solution of growing environmental and transport problems of the integrating Europe. In the article the special emphasis is put on the railway transport. It is pointed out that the development of air transport in local (national) links and dynamic development of the private bus transport forces the railway transport into implementing the innovative solutions in order to adapt to the expectations of the market, including especially the customer. These solutions apply to both the railway transport infrastructure, means of transport and additional infrastructure allowing the comprehensive customer service. The article presents the problems associated with the implementation of innovative solutions for railways in Poland. It is pointed out the problems arising from the demand side, i.e. railways and its readiness to implement the innovative solutions and from the supply side, i.e. the supply of knowledge and innovative solutions from the representatives of science, research institutes and universities.

The paper presents new trends and new materials used in the design of moulds for plastics processing. Application of CAD / CAM / CAE systems reduces the time of the design of forming tool. Tool materials produced by new technologies are compared with standard materials. Wear of tool materials were examined for plastics injection molding. Simulation of technology of plastic injection molding process was examined as a tool to improve the quality of plastic parts.

Celem artykułu jest wprowadzenie czytelnika w zagadnienie laserów półprzewodnikowych, postrzegane z perspektywy aktualnych kierunków ich rozwoju. Omówiono w nim ważniejsze aspekty technologii laserów dużej mocy, laserów niebieskich i laserów typu VCSEL oraz rynku na te przyrządy. Przedstawiono nowe perspektywy związane z technologią kropek kwantowych. Całość materiału została uzupełniona krótkimi wykładami wyjaśniającymi zasady działania i budowy omawianych laserów.

The aim of the paper is to acquaint the reader with semiconductor lasers looked at in perspective of their current development and further progress. Topics related to high power lasers, blue-violet lasers and VCSELs, including markets for these devices, are discussed. New features associated with quantum dots are also presented. The contents is supplemented by short lectures on devices in question.

W pracy omówiono postęp w technologii detektorów podczerwieni w dwusetnej historii ich rozwoju. Przedstawiono podstawy działania dwu podstawowych typów detektorów: termicznych i fotonowych. Omówiono przykłady najbardziej spektakularnych osiągnięć w tym zakresie w ostatnich latach, dotyczące detektorów heterozłączowych z HgCdTe, fotorezystorów na studniach kwantowych układu AlGaAs/GaAs i bolometrów krzemowych. Podjęto próbę określenia rozwoju światowego rynku detektorów w pierwszej dekadzie XXI wieku.

The paper presents progress in infrared (IR) detector technology during two hundred history of their development. At the beginning, the overview of infrared system fundamentals and detectors are presented. Classification of two type infrared detectors (photon detectors and thermal detectors) is done on the basis of their principle of operation. Recent progress in different IR technologies is described from a historical point of view. Discussion is concentrated mainly on current and the most rapidly developing detectors: HgCdTe heterostructure photodiodes, quantum well AlGaAs/GaAs photoresistors, and thermal detectors. The outlook for nearfuture trends in IR technologies is also presented.

Wśród wielu koncepcji nowych produktów, jakie pojawiły się w ciągu ostatniej dekady, najnowszym dynamicznie rozwijającym się trendem jest "żywność autentyczna". Produkt "autentyczny" to przygotowany w skali przemysłowej produkt identyczny pod względem charakterystyki sensorycznej, jak potrawa lub deser wykonane tradycyjną techniką kulinarną - ale trwały i łatwy do przygotowania do spożycia. Omówiono czynniki warunkujące rozwój takiej żywności od strony konsumenta i producenta oraz zasady ich opracowywania i wprowadzania do produkcji.

Among numerous trends in food product development which appeared in the last decade, a new, dynamically developing one is authentic food. Authentic foods are industrially processed products of exactly the same sensory characteristics as their traditional culinary pattern, but easy and quick to be prepared for serving and of prolonged storage time. Consumer - and producer - related factors affecting progress of the authentic foods as well as main features of their development and industrial implementation were discussed.

In the paper Polish and European markets of raw materials and herbal drugs are evaluated showing the present stare of Poland's material resources as well as the tendencies in the processing techniques. The new trends in the production of herbal drugs and plant preparations are also described. Problems concerning the production of raw materials and herbal drugs in view of ISO norms and GMP and GLP requirements are discussed. Ali these problems are related to the restructuring of the herbal industry which faces integration with European Union.
