The article discusses issues related to the management of the city's network infrastructure in the context of the Smart City idea. There was presented an overview of the possibilities and needs of supporting the maintenance management of network technical systems, as components of technical urban infrastructure. Issues related to the meaning of numerical models of various types of networks in comprehensive city management were discussed. Against this background, gaps and challenges in the implementation of modern technologies have been shown on the example of an important category of network technical systems such as water supply system.

Artykuł obejmuje opis badań nad modelowaniem i oceną polityki eksploatacyjnej w odniesieniu do specyficznej klasy obiektów, jakimi są sieciowe systemy techniczne. Na tle ogólnych uwarunkowań modelowania eksploatacyjnego procesu decyzyjnego opracowano i przedstawiono model polityki eksploatacyjnej, stanowiący podstawę opisu sposobu funkcjonowania organizacji utrzymania ruchu typowego przedsiębiorstwa sieciowego. Konsekwencją praktycznej realizacji ww. modelu jest zbudowany przez autora taksonomiczny model oceny polityki eksploatacyjnej. Uwzględnienie w tym zakresie systemu komputerowego wspomagania pozwoli na ocenę i śledzenie zmian wartości polityki eksploatacyjnej realizowanej w ramach organizacji utrzymania ruchu z możliwością czynnego wpływu i kształtowania procesu decyzyjnego.

The article includes a description of research on the modeling and assessment of exploitation policies in relation to the specific classes of objects, which are technical network systems. On a background of the general conditions of exploitation decision-making process, there were developed and presented exploitation policy model as the basis for description of the functioning of maintenance organization of a typical network company. The consequence of the practical implementation of the above model is the taxonomic model for assessing the exploitation policy constructed by the author. Taking into account computer-aided system, in this regard, will allow to assess and monitor changes in the exploitation policy with the ability to the active influencing and shaping the decisionmaking process.

Artykuł opisuje wyniki badań prezentujących sposób wykorzystania narzędzi klasy GIS dla potrzeb wspomagania działań związanych z eksploatacją systemu zaopatrzenia w wodę. W pracy scharakteryzowano główne problemy eksploatacyjne dotyczące tego systemu. Na tej podstawie przedstawiono model obsługi zdarzeń eksploatacyjnych występujących w omawianym typie systemu sieciowego, wskazując w nim w szczególności etapy, dla których istotna jest informacja odniesiona do lokalizacji obiektów technicznych w terenie. Uzupełnieniem opracowanego modelu jest prezentacja sposobu wykorzystania zbudowanych przez autora map tematycznych GIS dla potrzeb planowania oraz realizacji prac obsługowych i naprawczych.

This paper describes the results of studies on the use of GIS tools for the supporting of activities related to the maintenance of the water supply system. Firstly the main maintenance problems appearing in the system has been characterized in the paper. On this basis the model of operational events handling, occurring in this kind of technical system, has been described. Author highlighted all stages in the model that demand information related to the location of the technical facilities in the terrain. This model is complemented by set of thematic layers created in GIS, which are useful during planning and realization of maintenance and repair works.

W artykule przeprowadzono dyskusję nad potrzebą i możliwością komputerowego wspomagania eksploatacyjnego procesu decyzyjnego. Rozważania oparto na badaniach przeprowadzonych w odniesieniu do wybranych sieciowych systemów technicznych. W szczególności przeprowadzono analizę zakresu prac obsługowo--naprawczych typowych dla systemów wodociągowych i kanalizacyjnych, a następnie dokonano uogólnienia, omawiając specyfikę eksploatacyjną sieciowych systemów technicznych. Rezultatem prowadzonych badań jest koncepcja systemu wspomagającego będącego integratorem stosowanych w tym zakresie rozwiązań metodycznych i narzędziowych. W podsumowaniu zwrócono uwagę na kluczowy aspekt proponowanej metodologii, czyli sposób modelowania przyszłości eksploatacyjnej jako przedmiot obecnych prac badawczych autora artykułu.

It has been discussed the need and opportunities of computer supporting of exploitation decision process, in the article. The considerations have been based on research carried out in respect to the selected network technical systems. In particular, analysis of range of maintenance work, typical for water supply and sewage systems has been made, and then there has been made a generalization, discussing exploitation specific network technical systems. The result of the research is the concept of supporting system as an the integrator used in the methodology and tool solutions. The summary highlights the key aspect of the proposed methodology, ie the way of exploitation future modeling, as a subject of current research activities of author of the article.
