Opisano technologię elektro-skanowania, używaną do wykrywania nieszczelności w sieciach kanalizacyjnych. W technologii tej nieszczelności są identyfikowane za pomocą energii elektrycznej. Przedstawiono rodzaje rurociągów, w których technologia ta może być wykorzystana, jak również ograniczenia w jej stosowaniu. Zaprezentowano i omówiono różnice w wynikach badań kanałów o łącznej długości 690 metrów, w których dokonano inspekcji metodą elektro-skanowania i za pomocą kamery kanalizacyjnej. Wskazano różnice między tymi dwiema technologiami. Opisano możliwość zastosowania metody elektro-skanowania jako techniki komplementarnej z inspekcją CCTV.

Paper describes electro scan technology, which is used to detect leaks in sewer systems. In this technology electrical current is employed to identify defects of the pipelines. The article presents and discusses available applies of this technology and limitations in using of it. Results of ES test of 690-meters long sewer sections were described and compared with CCTV inspection results. Differences in both inspections effects were discussed. Possibility of using electro scan as a complementary technique to the inspection of CCTV was pointed out.

The paper describes some kind of intelligent agents able to observe behaviour of both nodes and communication links in a computer network. Because network is dynamic, the behaviour of both nodes and variables changes frequently. The goal is to recognize changes which are important in the context of network behavioral anomalies that correspond to network faults. The processed measurement information is combined into high level measures which are intelligent agent's outputs. Based on the measures typical faults can be recognized and singnalized to fault management centre. The paper shows how to learn agents by the Bayesian rule and how to organize diagnosis on the system level.
