[...] Celem artykułu jest ocena możliwości zaspokojenia potrzeb transportowych turystów przybywających do Szczecina przez wykorzystanie dróg wodnych regionu. W artykule przedstawiono ruch turystyczny w województwie zachodniopomorskim oraz potencjał dróg wodnych i jego niewykorzystane zasoby. Przeanalizowano także możliwości zaspokojenia potrzeb turystów europejskich, którzy przybywają do Szczecina drogami wodnymi.

Tourism is an indispensable element of modern life. The condition of cities and regions advantages adaptation and tourist infrastructure determine travel purpose. There is a lot of facilities and areas that can be reach directly or indirectly via water transport both sea or inland. Water-borne units calling at ports with appropriate infrastructure enable to explore an attractive land for tourists. They are also practically independent of other basin users. Some of the cities including Szczecin have great potential in order to provide high quality tourist service and fulfill transport needs of European tourists. Offer choice is often subjected to affluence. Therefore it is very important to make offers that can fulfill needs not only of wealthy clients but also those who have average financial potentials. This article shows tourism structure of Szczecin and its region and it also contains tourists transport needs analysis. The purpose of this article is to assess possibilities of transport needs fulfillment of tourists arriving in Szczecin via regional waterways.
