Purpose of the paper is to present some examples of application of the optimal control at energy performance index in mechatronic solutions. In the paper were presented methods of vibration surveillance of mechanical systems idealised discretely. These methods were applied in robotics (industrial robots) as well as – for high speed ball end milling processes of flexible details. As example of non-linear system, a possibility of the use of optimal control at energy performance index for wheeled robots was presented.
