W artykule omówiono podstawowe czynniki determinujące wzrost konsumpcji ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego w Azji Południowo-Wschodniej. Podkreślono istotne znaczenie budowy infrastruktury zdolnej do masowego przemieszczania tych surowców oraz zapewniającej niezawodność dostaw. W oparciu o analizę zapotrzebowania na energię Chin, Indii i Japonii dokonano badania kształtowania się infrastruktury rurociągowej w tych krajach w latach 1982–2013. Rozpatrzono kierunki polityki gospodarczej tego regionu świata w aspekcie perspektyw dalszego rozwoju gospodarczego.

The basic factors determining the growth for a consumption of a crude oil and a natural gas in South-East Asia was discussed in this article. It was underlined in this article the substantial importance for a construction of the infrastructure capable to the mass dislocation of these raw materials and securing the deliveries reliability. On the basis of the analysis made for the demands of energy in China, India and Japan it was made some researches to form the pipeline infrastructure in these countries in 1982-2013. The directions for the economic policy for this region with the point of view for the prospects of the further economy growth was taken into consideration in this article.

Odorization is the process which has crucial impact on the safety of the distribution and usage of natural gas. A very small amounts of odorant are added into naturally odorless fuel. The odorant has distinctive and well odor. Traditionally, used for decades, odorants are based on sulfur compounds. More recently in some countries sulfur-free compound is used as odorant. This article is an attempt to determine the applicability of sulfur-free odorant in natural gas distribution network in Poland. This includes the possibility of implementing a new odorant for the usage in the aspect of existing legislation in the area of odorization. The existing infrastructure used in the process of natural gas odorization has been analyzed and range of necessary adaptation actions has been indicated. The issue of smell diversity in comparison sulfur-free with traditionally used odorants has also been discussed. At the end, the ecological aspects of new odorant usage on a larger scale and re being taken under consideration.
