Purpose: The goal of the paper is to analyses process of implementation and effectiveness of 5S method in an industrial enterprise. Design/methodology/approach: Critical literature analysis, questionnaire analysis, case study analysis. Findings: On the example of industrial organization that was in the presented paper an analysis of effectiveness of 5S implementation. On the basis of conducted analysis the main objectives of using 5S are: order in the workplace, maintenance of cleanliness and efficiency of machines and devices, shorter duration of activities. The main causes of problems with 5S implementation are connected with no time to do the work and lack of funds. The overall rating of efficiency of 5S method in analyzed enterprise is very good. Originality/value: Detailed analysis of main objectives of using 5S method and the main causes of problems with it in the industrial enterprise.

Głównym założeniem artykułu jest skontrolowanie jakości ram okiennych przy produkcji okien. W artykule wykorzystano tradycyjne narzędzie zarządzania jakością, jakim jest diagram Pareto - Lorenza. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań przy użyciu diagramu Pareto - Lorenza określone priorytetowe dla badanego produktu niezgodności. Następnym krokiem było wskazanie sposobów ich zapobiegania. Zastosowanie diagramu Pareto - Lorenza pomogło zweryfikować częstość pojawiania się niezgodności. Wykorzystane narzędzie pozwoliło zweryfikować najczęstsze błędy pojawiające się podczas produkcji ram okiennych. Poprzez poddawanie produktów analizie jakości i zastosowaniu odpowiednich narzędzi, przedsiębiorstwo może polepszać jakość wytwarzanych produktów. Uzyskane wyniki przedsiębiorstwo może wprowadzać rozwiązania dotyczące występowania niezgodności mające na celu doskonalenie produktu.

The main assumption of the article is to check on the quality of window frames in window production. The article uses a traditional quality management tool, which is the Pareto-Lorenz diagram. As a result of the tests carried out, using the Pareto-Lorenz diagram, the priority non-compliances for the tested product have been identified. The next step strived to identify the measures necessary to prevent them. The employment of the Pareto-Lorenz diagram allowed to verify the incidence of the occurrence of non-compliances. Moreover, the tool allowed to verify the most common errors that may appear during the production of window frames. Thanks to frequent quality controls and the application of appropriate tools, the company can improve the quality of manufactured products. The results obtained may push the company to introduce solutions aimed at improving the product and overcoming various non-conformities.

Artykuł skupia się na wykorzystaniu metod i narzędzi zarządzania jakością w celu ustalenia głównych problemów niezadowolenia klienta. Po przeprowadzonych badaniach w porcie lotniczym oraz analizie zostały wprowadzone udoskonalenia obszarów, które będą miały wpływ na poprawę satysfakcji klienta.

The paper focuses on the use of methods and tools of quality management in order to identify the main problems of customer dissatisfaction. After studies at the airport and the analysis were introduced improvements that will have an impact on improving customer satisfaction.

The contemporary enterprises have found themselves in a situation in which the ability of dynamic adaptation to the changing market conditions becomes the crucial factor of competitive advantage. It means that all the employees of enterprises who are responsible for and engaged in the processes have to be equipped with appropriate tools that would enable them taking quick, easy and effective improvement actions. It concerns both the employees of executive positions and those who are directly engaged in the realization of manufacturing processes. The attempt of solving this problem will consist in preparation of author's methodology of selection and application of quality management tools, ac- cording to the needs of the manufacturing process improve- ment. In the situation of wide access to literature, gaining knowledge concerning an instrument, its application, etc. does not pose a problem; the problem is a great variety - making access to the most useful instrument, in given technical and organizational conditions of a process, difficult. So far prepared classification of quality instruments puts in order theoretical material; however it is not accurate enough to indicate "paths" of searching out the required, in a given moment, instruments. Available manuals comprise reviews of tens or even hundreds of instruments. While delegating powers and encouraging employees participate in quality matters, one often forgets that they may easily get lost due to the lack of abilities to move in the cobweb of numerous required in the case of operating decisions and executive actions. The attempt of solving this problem consists in preparation of author's methodology of selection and application of quality management tools, according to the needs of the manufacturing process improvement. The presented method of criteria matrix is one of the elements of the methodology.
