The article provides an analysis of the study on the use of digital tools in teaching humanities in university education, presenting arguments that confirm the significance of this topic. Due to the rapid development of digital technologies and the increasing importance of digital literacy, the potential that these tools can provide for improving the learning process in humanities is being explored. The advantages and challenges associated with the implementation of digital technologies in university education for teaching humanities are revealed. Special attention is given to the analysis of the possibilities of integrating digital tools into the educational process, uncovering their features and potential for enriching the learning process and enhancing the quality of teaching humanities. Further analysis and discussion of this topic aim to contribute to the search for optimal solutions and improving the outcomes of teaching humanities in the digital era, as well as studying future prospects for digitizing humanities education. The conclusions of the article emphasize the need for a balanced approach to the use of digital technologies, pedagogical relevance of their application, focusing on preserving interaction and communication, and involving students in active learning and collaboration.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę problemu wykorzystania narzędzi cyfrowych w nauczaniu nauk humanistycznych, w edukacji uniwersyteckiej oraz przedstawiono argumenty potwierdzające znaczenie tego tematu. W związku z szybkim rozwojem technologii cyfrowych i rosnącym znaczeniem kompetencji cyfrowych, badany jest potencjał, jaki te narzędzia mogą wprowadzić, dla poprawy procesu nauczania w naukach humanistycznych. Przedstawiono korzyści i wyzwania związane z wdrażaniem technologii cyfrowych w edukację uniwersytecką, podczas nauczania nauk humanistycznych. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono analizie możliwości wdrożenia narzędzi cyfrowych w proces edukacyjny, ujawniając ich cechy i potencjał wzbogacenia procesu nauki, poprawy jakości nauczania nauk humanistycznych. Kolejne analizy i badania na ten temat mają na celu wspieranie poszukiwania optymalnych rozwiązań i poprawę wyników nauczania nauk humanistycznych w epoce cyfrowej, badanie perspektyw dla cyfryzacji edukacji humanistycznej. Wnioski artykułu podkreślają konieczność zrównoważonego podejścia do wykorzystania technologii cyfrowych, pedagogicznej celowości ich zastosowania, skupienia na zachowaniu interakcji i komunikacji, oraz zaangażowania studentów w aktywne uczenie się i współpracę.

Currently, digital skills have become an important factor for the development and active participation in today's information society. The article describes innovative IT methods and tools used in the education process. New technologies and new methods of conducting classes form the basis of today's education. Traditional methods have been replaced by digital tools that are perfect at the stage of educating school students in IT profiles, preparing them for vocational exams. The article compares the results of school students from vocational exams at the Technical College of Lublin with the results from the entire Lubelskie Voivodeship.

Aktualnie cyfrowe umiejętności stały się istotnym czynnikiem rozwoju i aktywnego uczestnictwa w dzisiejszym społeczeństwie informacyjnym. W artykule opisano innowacyjne metody oraz narzędzia informatyczne wykorzystywane w procesie kształcenia. Nowe technologie oraz nowe metody prowadzenia zajęć lekcyjnych stanowią podstawę dzisiejszej edukacji. Tradycyjne metody zostały zastąpione cyfrowymi narzędziami, które doskonale sprawdzają się na etapie kształcenia młodzieży szkolnej w szkołach o profilu informatycznym, przygotowujących młodzież do egzaminów zawodowych. W artykule porównano wyniki egzaminów zawodowych uczniów Technikum Informatycznego w Lublinie z wynikami uczniów z całego województwa lubelskiego.

Ceramika, niemal od zawsze, odgrywała ważną rolę w życiu człowieka. W ostatnich kilkudziesięciu latach stała się znakomitym materiałem podnoszącym walory surowców i materiałów wykorzystywanych w odległych od siebie przemysłach. Poza liczną grupą tworzyw ceramicznych, stosowanych w ceramice artystycznej, pojawiają się coraz to nowsze materiały, o podwyższonych parametrach wytrzymałościowych, stosowane w ceramice inżynieryjnej. Przestaje już dziwić informacja o zastosowaniu powłok ceramicznych w turbinach silników, czy noszonych wyrobach tekstylnych. Nie byłaby możliwa tak wielka ekspansja ceramiki, gdyby nie pojawiały się nowoczesne, nowatorskie technologie. Istotą postępu jest zmiana myślenia o tworzywie i jego zastosowaniu. Nad tymi problemami skupiają się współcześni badacze, naukowcy, artyści, projektanci. Niewątpliwie, w niedalekiej przyszłości, język cyfrowy prawie całkowicie wyprze przekaz analogowy. I właśnie świadomość rychłego nadejścia nowego powinna być argumentem przekonującym współczesnych twórców do stopniowego wdrażania się w technologie zaawansowane.

Ceramics has always played an important role in human life. In the last several dozen years it has become an excellent material raising the value of raw materials and materials used in distant industries. Aside from a numerous group of ceramic materials used in artistic ceramics, newer materials appear, with improved strength parameters, used in engineering ceramics. The information about the use of ceramic coatings in turbine engines or worn textile products is no longer surprising. Such a large expansion of ceramics would not have been possible if modern, innovative technologies had not appeared. The essence of progress is the change in thinking about creation and its application. Contemporary researchers, scientists, artists, and designers focus on these problems. Undoubtedly, in the near future, the digital language will almost completely supplant the analogue transmission. And the awareness of the imminent arrival of something new should be an argument that convinces contemporary artists to gradually introduce themselves in advanced technology.

Uwagę koncentruje się na projektowaniu parametrycznym z użyciem narzędzi cyfrowych i ich roli w architekturze XXI wieku. Artykuł przedstawia historię rozwoju parametrycznych narzędzi projektowania i ich zastosowania w projektowaniu architektonicznym. Objaśnia, czym jest projektowanie parametryczne, jakimi narzędziami może posługiwać się architekt i jakie może osiągać rezultaty. Obecnie projektowanie parametryczne stało się nowym paradygmatem estetycznym, od którego wymaga się symulowania nowego rodzaju struktur. Projektowanie parametryczne jest tu definiowane jako proces oparty na myśleniu algorytmicznym, który umożliwia wyrażanie parametrów i zasad, przez które są definiowane, kodowane i wyjaśniane związki między zamierzeniem a odpowiedzią projektową. Proces ten znajduje uzasadnienie w projektowaniu architektonicznym wtedy, gdy zachodzi taka relacja pomiędzy elementami projektu, która wymaga manipulowania informacją dotyczącą złożonej geometrii formy i jej struktury. Projektowanie parametryczne nie jest nową koncepcją i zawsze stanowiło części projektowania architektonicznego.

The paper focuses on parametric design with digital tools and their role in architecture of the 21st century. It presents the history of the development of parametric design tools and their application in architectural design. The paper clarifies what is parametric design, what tools can use the architect and what results can achieve. Today, parametric design has become a new aesthetical paradigm: architectonic requirements have stimulated the search for new types of structures. Parametric design is defined as a process based on algorithmic thinking that enables the expression of parameters and rules that, together, define, encode and clarify the relationship between design intent and design response. Parametric design is a paradigm in design where the relationship between elements is used to manipulate and inform the design of complex geometries and structures. Parametric design is not a new concept and has always formed a part of architectural design.

Several experiments combining analog design with digital parametric design have been presented, where the relationship between material properties and the designed shape of an architectural element play an important role. This approach allows to create digital material formations or to structure freeform surfaces, control their tectonics, through parametric modulation. Similar research tasks were initiated in the years 2003-2004 during the classes conducted at the Architectural Associations School of Architecture in London. In Poland, for the first time, making use of that experience, a number of similar teaching experiments were carried out in 2013 under the academic supervision of Krystyna Januszkiewicz and Mateusz Zwierzycki, at the newly established Research Laboratory of the students of the Faculty of Architecture of Poznan University of Technology.

Wirtualne modele miast oraz systemy komputerowe do ich przetwarzania mogą być bezcennym narzędziem współczesnego warsztatu urbanistycznego. Powstaje potencjał dla rozwoju nowych metod analitycznych, którego wykorzystanie, bez użycia komputera, jest praktycznie niemożliwe. Techniki cyfrowe stają się takim samym, choć nowym, instrumentem poznania, istotnym w kreacji przestrzeni miasta. Wykorzystanie nowych narzędzi może być postrzegane jako szansa rozwoju urbanistyki (lub może „cyber urbanistyki”). Nowe metody komputerowe bowiem stosuje się już w opracowaniach planistycznych. Badania urbanistyczne zaś podejmowane są w niektórych polskich uczelniach i jednostkach naukowych. Jednym z takich zespołów badawczych jest Centrum Cyber Urbanistyki stworzone na Wydziale Budownictwa i Architektury Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie przez jego pracowników: profesora Waldemara Marzęckiego oraz adiunktów Klarę Czyńską, Adama Zwolińskiego i Pawła Rubinowicza. Badania prowadzone przez Centrum dotyczą m.in. krajobrazu miasta w tym zabudowy wysokiej, analizy struktur urbanistycznych oraz przestrzeni publicznych. Najnowszym zadaniem centrum jest realizacja międzynarodowego projektu badawczego 2TaLL, która właśnie się rozpoczyna.

Virtual city models and supporting computer systems become invaluable tools of modern urban design techniques. There is an emerging potential for the development of new analytic methods practically inapplicable without the use of a computer. Therefore digital techniques become a cognition instrument important for creation of urban space. Using new tools can be considered as a chance for progress and development in the field of urban design (or the so called “Cyber Urban Design”). Research in this field is being taken up at different universities and scientific units. The team of Cyber Urban Center created at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at West-Pomeranian University of Technology by architects: Professor Marzęcki and Doctors Klara Czyńska, Adam Zwoliński, Paweł Rubinowicz - follow the trend as well. The article presents selected issues undertaken by the CUC team related to urban landscape, tall buildings, analysis of urban structures and public spaces. Currently the new methods and software solutions for digital processing of 3D city models and advanced urban analyses are being developed. The new tools have already been applied by the CUC team in some signifycant planning studies in Poland completed for developing strategies and local plans. The recent objective of CUC is realization of international research project 2TaLL, which is already in its initiation stage. The effect will be formulation of guidelines for universal standard of urban analyses enabling definition of impact of tall buildings on urban landscape, considering different spatial and functional aspects. The research will be completed on selected European cities, for example Berlin and Frankfurt.
