Przedstawiono pola temperatury wirnika silnika dwuklatkowego podczas rozruchu w układzie łagodnego rozruchu i przy rozruchu bezpośrednim. Rezultaty symulacji wykazały, że w układzie łagodnego rozruchu istnieje niebezpieczeństwo przekroczenia wartości dopuszczalnej temperatury uzwojenia klatkowego.

This paper presents the temperature field of a double cage induction motor’s rotor during a direct online start and a soft start. Simulation results have shown that in the case of the soft start there is a risk of exceeding the allowable temperature of the cage winding.

When an analysis of damages of electrical machines is carried out the sentence "all is caused by high temperature and bad electrical connection" can be heard. Author suggests that to this sentence should information about insulation of elementary wire should be added. The paper describes stresses in stators of high voltage machines. An example of modernization of hydrogenerator of output 125 MW indicate that some of the stresses can be minimalised using bar-type winding.
