By the computer simulation on the concrete examples of electric drives with pulsating character of load on the feeding grid the problems of their electromagnetic compatibility and power efficiency are analyzed. There are considered two systems with different correlations of electric drives and feeding grid powers. To solve these complex energy problems there is offered to use for accumulation of energy the power batteries of ultracapacitors in the DC link and developed a system of automatic control of charging and discharging processes. Compared to traditional solutions, the application of the developed system showed significantly better performance of electromagnetic compatibility and energy efficiency of electric drives with pulsating character of power consumption. It is shown that specially promising is the using of the ultracapacitors battery in braking modes of electric drives, which are powered by electricity grids of commensurate power.
