W artykule przedstawiono część wyników badań symulacyjnych napędu kola czerpakowego zmodernizowanej koparki SchRs 800. Poniższe badania ilustrują wpływ poszczególnych urządzeń rozruchowych, jak i warunków rozruchu, na jego jakość. Symulacja działania napędu pozwala na wykonanie prób, których nie można lub nie należy wykonywać na rzeczywistym obiekcie - rozruch w skarpie, rozruch z wyłączonym rozrusznikiem wiroprądowym, rozruch po zdemontowaniu sprzęgła hydrokinetycznego. Wiarygodność otrzymanych wyników zależy od trafności przyjętego modelu matematycznego. Można ją będzie zweryfikować porównując wyniki symulacji pracy w warunkach normalnych, z wynikami pomiarów wykonanych na rzeczywistym obiekcie.

During the design of the device it is difficult to predict every effect proceeding during its operation. Difficulty level rises when non-linear elements are used in the system, such as hydrodynamic coupling. Usually settings are chosen according to some predetermined principles excluding non-linear effects. Computer simulation allows watching some effects before completing the device. By using this instrument it is possible to test influence of these parameters on the whole mechanism. Reliability of obtained results depends on correctness of chosen device model and also on correct modeling of external conditions influencing this device operation. Computer simulation method is particularly useful to analyze transient states. One of these states is the start-up phase. Simulation allows selection of used electric motor correctness evaluation. It is possible to answer some of the questions for example if it is possible to execute the starting up under a load or to bypass the application of additional starting devices. It is possible to estimate the amount of heat emitted inside the motor during starting up. It is exactly this parameter which together with the starting up time will be the quality evaluation criterion of excavator bucket wheel starting up.
