The mechanism of oscillations of electric potential difference between aqueous phases in three- and four phase systems containing nitrobenzene or nitromethane has been investigated. It was shown by simulations that the proposed mechanism might account for observed oscillations. The chaotic behaviour of these systems was discussed on the bases of obtained attractors, Lyapunou exponents and fractal dimensions.
