Location study for the investment project entitled Multimodal Platform considering the area of the city of Bydgoszcz and commune of Solec Kujawski last year was published. The examples of existent multimodal ports in Europe show a growing demand for goods transport by the inland waterways. On the basis of the Multimodal Port, it is planned to export cargo from the ports in Gdansk and Gdynia. So, on the Vistula's waterway between Gdansk and Bydgoszcz is the basic rule for navigators is to keep safety distance to the river bottom and on the other hand, to bridge structures. The paper presents limitation for inland ships in the area of planned multimodal port near Bydgoszcz. The analysis of navigation conditions was carried out using probabilistic model of underkeel clearance to verify typical inland vessel traffic on planned port approach. Results of this analysis can be used for further research connected with minimal safety depth determination and risk analysis in study area.

Artykuł jest czwartym z kolei i zarazem ostatnim z cyklu artykułów poświęconych lokalizacji w województwie kujawsko-pomorskim projektowanej platformy multimodalnej Bydgoszcz-Solec Kujawski, dla której sporządzono studium lokalizacyjne dla zamierzenia inwestycyjnego pn.: „Platforma multimodalna oparta na transporcie wodnym, kolejowym, drogowym i lotniczym z centrum logistyczno-magazynowym i portem rzecznym zlokalizowanym na wskazanym obszarze lewego brzegu Wisły (km 766-771), z uwzględnieniem obszaru miasta Bydgoszczy i gminy Solec Kujawski", opracowane w ramach międzynarodowego projektu EMMA (Interreg BSR)*. Przedmiotem artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników analizy wielokryterialnej trzech lokalizacji, rozwiązań planistycznych dla wariantu rekomendowanego platformy, wyników analizy finansowej oraz harmonogramu dalszych prac.

The article is fourth and last of a series of articles devoted to location of a planned multi-modal Bydgoszcz-Solec Kujawski platform in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. A location study for the investment project was prepared for the platform, entitled „Multi-modal platform based on the water, rail, road and air transport with a logistic and warehouse centre and river harbour located in the indicated area of the Vistula’s left bank (km 766-771), including the area of the city of Bydgoszcz and the Solec Kujawski commune", elaborated under the international EMMA project (Interreg BSR)*. The article presents the results of a multi-criteria analysis of three different locations, planning solutions for the recommended variant of the platform, results of the financial analysis, as well as schedule of works to be carried out.

Artykuł jest kolejnym z cyklu obejmującym problematykę studium lokalizacyjnego dla zamierzenia inwestycyjnego pn. „Platforma multimodalna oparta na transporcie wodnym, kolejowym, drogowym i lotniczym z centrum logistyczno-magazynowym i portem rzecznym zlokalizowanym na wskazanym obszarze lewego brzegu Wisły (km 766-771), z uwzględnieniem obszaru miasta Bydgoszczy i gminy Solec Kujawski", opracowanego w ramach międzynarodowego projektu EMMA (Interreg BSR)n). Opublikowano w nim streszczenie i wyniki kolejnych analiz branżowych, wykonanych przez szerokie grono ekspertów z poszczególnych branż, tj. hydrologicznej, hydrotechnicznej, geologicznej, przyrodniczej, planistyczno-przestrzennej, prawnej. Kompletne analizy są powszechnie dostępne w zasobach Urzędu Marszałkowskiego Województwa Kujawsko-Pomorskiego i Urzędu Miasta Bydgoszczy.

The article is another of a series covering the issue of the location study for the investment project entitled „Multi-modal platform based on the water, rail, road and air transport with a logistic and warehouse centre and river harbour located in the indicated area of the Vistula’s left bank (km 766-771), including the area of the city of Bydgoszcz and the Solec Kujawski commune", elaborated under the international EMMA project (Interreg BSR). It contains a summary and results of further analyses, carried out by a wide group of experts from different sectors, i.e. hydrology, hydrotechnology, geology, environment, spatial planning and law. Complete analysis are publicly available in the resources of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship Office and the Bydgoszcz City Office.

Artykuł zawiera przegląd dotychczasowych koncepcji rozwoju transportu intermodalnego w Polsce formułowanych w strukturach rządowych od 1990 roku. Szeroko został omówiony obecnie obowiązujący dokument rządowy pod nazwą: Strategia Rozwoju Transportu do 2020 roku (z perspektywą do 2030 roku). Wskazano w nim perspektywy rozwoju transportu intermodalnego w Polsce do 2030 roku, przy czym autor prezentuje własne stanowisko w zakresie podstawowych problemów rozwojowych tego rodzaju transportu.

This paper contains on overview of the current concept of intermodal transport development in Poland since 1990, formulated in government structures. It has been discussed currently valid government document “Strategy of Transport development to the year 2020 (with the prospect of 2030)”. It indicates prospects for development of intermodal transport in Poland until 2030. The Author presents his self point of view of the basic development problems of this kind of transport.
