W artykule przedstawiono metodę wyznaczania funkcji apodyzacji światłowodowych siatek Bragga dla dwóch przypadków – pierwszego, w którym znana jest ogólna postać funkcji wykorzystanej do apodyzacji siatki, a dobrać należy tylko charakterystyczne parametry tej funkcji oraz drugiego, w którym nie znana jest funkcja apodyzacji siatki. W drugim przypadku wyznaczyć należy rodzaj funkcji oraz jej parametry charakterystyczne.

A new method for the recovery of apodization function of fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) was presented in this paper. There were two considered cases. First case concerns the situation in which the apodization function equation is known. In this case we have to select only apodization function parameters. The second case concerns the situation in which apodization function equation isn’t known. In this case we have to recover the equation of apodization function and also we have to find parameters of this function. In the first part of the article the hypothetical function, which were generated for different parameters, were presented. Then we analyzed the influence of the function and its parameters change on the grating spectra. In the next part of the article results of the cluster analysis by the use of k-means method were presented. The use of k-means method were based on a Euclidean, Manhattan and Czebyszew measure between the objects for the aim of apodization function classification on the base of its spectra. The estimation of apodization function parameters was possible by the use of Gauss-Newton algorithm. In the article exploitation results of apodization function classification were presented with and without the testing set and training set.
