The continuous development of urban areas significantly affects the life, functioning, moving residents of the urban agglomeration. For that reason, the only way to increase the parking capacity in cities is to construct more multistory parking lots. Direct correlation of social, environmental and economic factors sets the way of parking lot planning and design basing on sustainable development principle. The article describes the variables that influence the parking lot management model and presents computer methods that can be used to identify the factors affecting it. The measurements of traffic intensity at the entrance and exit of a shopping centre in Wroclaw are also included. The developmental nature of this project requires that certain problems to be analysed more closely. The article includes the impact of the use of telematic tools to manage parking lots.

W artykule wykonano prognozę wskaźnika motoryzacji (liczba samochodów osobowych przypadających na 1000 mieszkańców) oraz prognozę liczby samochodów ciężarowych i liczby motocykli. Wykorzystano trendy nieliniowe oraz funkcję logistyczną. Wykazano, że wyniki uzyskane dla funkcji logistycznej pokrywają się rezultatami optymalnego trendu nieliniowego.

In the paper the forecast of vehicle motorization index (number of registered motor vehicles per 1000 people) as well as the forecasts of the truck number and motorbike number were carried out. Nonlinear trends and logistic function were used. It was shown that the results obtained for the logistic function were the same as the results for the optimum nonlinear trend.

Wskaźnik motoryzacji jest jedną z najczęściej używanych miar rozwoju motoryzacji w analizowanym kraju. Poziom motoryzacji zależy od wielu czynników: ekonomicznych, społecznych, przestrzennych, transportowych. W artykule przedstawiona będzie procedura modelowania zmian wskaźnika motoryzacji w zależności od wybranych czynników na poziomie makro. Przedstawiono także prognozę wskaźnika motoryzacji dla Polski do roku 2050.

Motorization index is one of the most widely used measures of the development of the motorization in the analysed country. Motorization level depends on many factors: economic, social, spatial, transport. The modelling procedure of motorization index changes depending on some factors at macro level has been presented in the paper. The indicator also shows the forecast for the Polish automotive industry by 2050.
