Architektura jako sztuka przestrzeni musi otworzyć się na działania kreatywne i współczesną wiedzę humanistyczną, by nie zostać zredukowana do dziedziny inżynieryjno-technicznej, by być dla człowieka i odpowiadać współczesnym wyzwaniom kultury. Postępująca od dekady znaczna redukcja godzin zajęć plastycznych w programach studiów architektonicznych skutkuje zanikiem kreatywności wśród studentów oraz skłania do naśladownictwa zastanych rozwiązań estetycznych i formalnych w projektowaniu. Jednym z pól działań interdyscyplinarnych w architekturze będzie pogłębienie świadomości na temat istoty korelacji malarstwa i architektury, gdzie wspólną wartością i polem działania jest ściana. Kolor, a w szczególności malarstwo ścienne, ma ogromny potencjał w kreowaniu wrażeń przestrzennych, w ich przemianie i dopełnieniu. Promowanie wiedzy o zależnościach barwy i przestrzeni, jak i praktyka związana z projektowaniem oraz realizacją malarstwa w architekturze to ważne czynniki rozwoju kreatywności w nauczaniu architektów.

Architecture as an art of space must open up to creative activities and contemporary humanistic knowledge, so as not to be reduced to the engineering and technical field, to be for people and respond to contemporary cultural challenges. The significant reduction in the number of hours of art classes in architectural study programs, which has been progressing for a decade, results in the loss of creativity among students and prompts them to imitate the existing aesthetic and formal solutions in design. One of the fields of interdisciplinary activities in architecture will be deepening the awareness of the essence of the correlation of painting and architecture, where the wall is the common value and field of activity. Color, and wall painting in particular, has enormous potential in creating spatial impressions, in transforming and complementing them. Promoting knowledge about the dependencies of color and space, as well as the practice related to the design and implementation of painting in architecture are important factors in the development of creativity in teaching architects.

Innovative renovation of the Church of the Revival of New Martyrs in Goretowo

The article describes the unique experience of the reconstruction of the Trinity Church (with the New Martyrs side-altar) in the Goretovo village, based in Mozhaisk area (nearby of the Moscow region). The author demonstrates a non-standard, innovative approach of the abandoned Church revitalization, which manifested in the method of the lost volume reconstruction and the new system organization of painting and decorating. The experience of the reconstruction of the Goretovo Church is useful in terms of understanding the complex relationship of creative freedom, the canonical framework and conservation standards.
