R&D work regarding the innovative mine transportation system, planned to be powered by the three-phase busbar, developed within theRFCS project "Increase of mines efficiency and health protection through the innovative transport system based on BUSDUCT" is discussed. Assumptions regarding the construction of the locomotive and the production of nitrogen from the air for inerting purposes are discussed in the first part, whereas in the second part adapting thecurrent collector’s brushes to nitrogen injection, the relevant CFD calculations, the stand for testing the inertization, are presented. Many interesting experiments on the effectiveness of inertization using explosive mixtures of hydrogen and air are illustrated, described and discussed.

W publikacji scharakteryzowano system transportu stosowany w podziemnych kopalniach węgla kamiennego. Omówiono transport załogi, urządzeń i materiałów oraz urobku. Zasygnalizowano konieczność optymalizacji całego przebiegu procesu transportowego, co przekłada się na wydajny i efektywny system logistyczny, będący zarazem warunkiem koniecznym sprawnego i bezpiecznego prowadzenia wydobycia węgla. Przedstawiono koncepcję zintegrowanego systemu transportu poziomego nowoczesnej kopalni. Scharakteryzowano istotny element zintegrowanego systemu transportowego, jakim powinna być podwieszana kolej o napędzie własnym.

This publication describes the transport system used in coal mines. Elements of transport such as transport of personnel, equipment and materials and output were presented. The need to optimize the entire transport process influencing the efficient and effective logistics system was signalled, which is a prerequisite for the efficient and safe administration of coal mining. There is also a concept of the integrated horizontal transport system in a modern mine proposed. An important element of the integrated transport system, which should be a self-propelled monorail was characterized.
