Właściwy dobór środków smarnych do konkretnych zastosowań ma znaczący wpływ na koszty eksploatacji maszyn i urządzeń. Główną rolą tego przemysłowego medium jest w obecnej technologii i przemyśle zapewnienie bezawaryjnej pracy. Dlatego środek smarny w profesjonalnym użyciu musi spełniać kilka obligatoryjnych funkcji. Systematyczny monitoring podstawowych parametrów fizykochemicznych oleju, kontrola klasy czystości oraz pielęgnacja oleju w czasie eksploatacji umożliwiają wydłużenie „życia” środka smarnego oraz minimalizują niebezpieczeństwo awarii i postoju maszyny.

Wear as a surface loss of material resulting from friction is considered in connection with various factors affecting a tribosystem. It is shown that debris formed at friction can be a source of valuable information on the wear mechanism and mode. The shape, texture and color of particles can be used for wear analysis. Methods of image recognition are used in order to solve the problem of debris analysis and classification for further use as a database being a part of integrated monitoring service. The concept of wear monitoring and its main purposes are considered in the context of providing non-failure, long-term operation at optimum friction performance of a tribosystem. Wear monitoring tools based on the analysis of debris accumulation in lubricated machinery are reviewed.

W referacie przedstawiono niektóre aspekty modernizacji istniejących rozwiązań podsystemów sporządzania mas formierskich lub przygotowania wsadu dla pieców odlewniczych. Omówiono założenia projektowe i techniczne oraz możliwości wprowadzania komputerowego systemu monitoringu zużycia materiałów formierskich i wsadowych.

Rational managing the mould or charge materials and optimization the liquid metal production force to enter a partial or full monitoring the charge of the materials weighing. Such a monitoring enables not only to trace how the charging, weighing and batching devices function. The monitoring informs about the mould or charge material consumption, which is a first step to plan materials requirement as well as to analyze a functioning of all subsystems of a melting plant. The paper presents some aspects connected with designing a partial or full computer monitoring the mould or charge of the materials weighing.
