W artykule przedstawiono algorytm postępowania oraz przykładowe urządzenia stosowane w celu określenia i rozwiązania problemu zawilgocenia przegród budowlanych przylegających do gruntu.

This article are presented algorithm of handling and example of devices used to determine and solve the problem of moisture in barrier walls in contact with ground. Problem with moisture concerns both historical buildings and recently built objects. Water that penetrates barrier walls by capillary action causes irreversible breakages on materials, that leads to destruction of the building. Improper diagnostics leads to adopting incorrect methods of hydro-renovation, what will cause further degradation of barrier walls. Algorithm of handling is presented by the case of diagnostics on damp objects.

W pracy przedstawiono rezultaty badań obrazujące stan wilgotnościowy murowanych ścian podziemi zabytkowego, reprezentacyjnego budynku użyteczności publicznej, wzniesionego na przełomie XIV i XV wieku. Z uwagi na ograniczone możliwości ingerencji w strukturę historycznych murów obiektu, badania wykonano nieniszczącą metodą elektryczną. Wyniki badań posłużyły do ustalenia przyczyn zawilgocenia, a następnie do zaproponowania właściwych zabezpieczeń przeciwwilgociowych.

The paper presents the test results of the dampness condition of the brickwalls in a presentable public building, raised at the turn of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Due to limited possibilities of interference into the historical structure of the brickwork, the examination has been performed by means of a non-destructive electric method. The moisture examination performed has been used to establish the reasons for the dampness as well as to propose the proper damp proofing treatment.

This paper is concerned with a comparison of two methods used for water properties measurement in porous materials - the gravimetric and the reflectometric (TDR) ones. The TDR method, opposite to the common gravimetric one, enables continuous and almost non-invasive monitoring of water states of examined medium. It was used in our experiment to prove the advantage of introduction of sewage sludge additions on reclamated areas.

Przedstawiono i porównano dwie metody pomiarowe stosowane w badaniach właściwości wodnych gruntów - metodę grawimetryczną i metodę reflektometryczną (TDR). Metoda TDR w przeciwieństwie do metody wagowej pozwala na ciągły i niemal bezinwazyjny monitoring stanów wilgotnościowych w badanym układzie.
