The paper presents some problems on thin-walled wooden structures modal investigations. Dynamic experimental method is used to determine Young’s modulus of the chosen wooden specimens. Numerical FEM simulations (ABAQUS/Standard) are applied to the Young’s modulus tests, obtained by experiment, as well as to simulate modal behaviour of simple wooden plates with arbitrary oriented annual rings.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań wpływu czynników fizycznych, chemicznych i geometrycznych na wartość modułu sprężystości poprzecznej ziarna pszenicy. Analiza statystyczna wykazała, że czynniki istotne to wskaźnik twardości PSI, szklistość ziarna oraz grubość okrywy owocowo- nasiennej i warstwy aleuronowej. Wszystkie zależności mają charakter liniowy.

Results of investigations on the influence of physical, chemical and geometrical factors on the value of transverse elasticity modulus of wheat grain were presented in this paper. Statistic analysis showed that the hardness index, vitreousity and thickness of seed coat and aleuronic layer were the most important factors. All relations are linear.
