The effect of space vector modulation algorithm on magnitude of current vector ripples was considered on the mathematical model of a three-level three-phase voltage inverter with symmetric active inductive load. Limitations on the use of such inverters as a power supply for precision drive of optical telescopes were specified.

In the paper we have investigated the EMC aspects of the proposed modulation algorithm in the comparison with the conventional carrier-based SVPWM. Our results showed that the choice of this modulation causes that the conditions for the compensation, by means of zero common mode (CM) voltage filter, become more favorable in a case of the improved SVPWM. This results in reduction of the size, weight and cost of inductive components of filters in multilevel drives with this modulation.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę zmodyfikowanego algorytmu sterowania SVPWM falowników wielopoziomowych w kontekście kompatybilności elektromagnetycznej. Zaprezentowane wyniki pokazują, że warunki kompensacji za pomocą pasywnego filtru napięcia zaburzeń wspólnych są lepsze w przypadku zastosowania poprawionej modulacji SVPWM, co prowadzi do zmniejszenia gabarytów, wagi i kosztów elementów indukcyjnych filtrów zaburzeń wspólnych.
