Provision of comfortable conditions in the premises with simultaneous optimization of costs throughout the life cycle of the building was the main objective of the study. The analysis of the world engineering practice of troweling compounds with high moisture-regulating ability is performed. Information on the features of the manufacture of plasters with moisture-regulating ability is given. Usage of expanded aggregates that have the ability to quickly collect, store, and then slowly release moisture is an effective way to regulate moisture in living areas of buildings under construction as well as of newly erected ones. As a result of this study, it has been shown that it is possible to produce environmental control in residential premises not only through the operation of costly air conditioning systems that consume a significant amount of power, but also by using accumulating and easily releasing moisture building materials, providing a dampening effect. Studies have been carried out and troweling compounds with a high moisture-regulating ability with the use of domestic components have been developed, allowing, in addition to the above-mentioned purposes, to reduce the risk of water vapour condensation on the walls and the occurrence of fungi and mould in the room.

W artykule dokonana została ocena stosowania lepiszczy asfaltowych na podstawie badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych wśród producentów asfaltu, firm wykonawczych oraz inwestorów w zakresie produkowanych, stosowanych i preferowanych do stosowania rodzajów lepiszczy asfaltowych. Przeprowadzone badania ankietowe obejmowały między innymi kwestie związane z czynnikami wpływającymi na decyzję o wyborze lepiszczy, ocenę wpływu nieprawidłowego zastosowania lepiszczy na występowanie zniszczeń nawierzchni, ocenę jakości dostępnych na rynku lepiszczy oraz barier związanych z ich stosowaniem. Na podstawie analiz zidentyfikowane zostały główne problemy związane z jakością produkowanych lepiszczy asfaltowych. Stwierdzono, że w Polsce produkowana jest szeroka gama lepiszczy asfaltowych – od asfaltów drogowych po asfalty wysokomodyfikowane, a największe problemy dotyczą nieprawidłowości w ocenie jakości stosowanych lepiszczy, a w przypadku lepiszczy modyfikowanych – ilości i jakości dodatków modyfikujących.

The paper reviews road binders in Poland in terms of quality based on a survey research conducted among asphalt manufacturers, contractors and investors concerning manufactured, used and preferred asphalt binders. The survey included, among others, issues related to the factors influencing the decision concerning binders selection, the effect of incorrect use of binders on the occurrence of pavement damages, evaluation of the quality of binders available on the market and barriers associated with their use. Based on the conducted analyzes, the market availability of various types of asphalt binders has been evaluated and the experience of asphalt binders used in road construction has been summarized. Major problems related to the quality of asphalt binders have been identified. It has been found that in Poland a wide range of asphalt binders is produced. The main problems concern incorrectness in the quality evaluation of used binders, and in the case of modified binders – quantity and quality of modifying additives.

Przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczące wpływu czasu sezonowania na wybrane właściwości folii polipropylenowej orientowanej dwuosiowo. Próbki folii pobrane z dwóch różnych partii produkcyjnych, odznaczały się tym samym składem recepturowym i grubością. Próbki były przechowywane w warunkach magazynowych. Właściwości optyczne i mechaniczne folii oznaczono bezpośrednio po jej wyprodukowaniu oraz po 3, 14, 28 i 56 dobach sezonowania.

The results of studies of the effect of seasoning time on the select properties of biaxal oriented polypropylene film were presented. The films samples, characterized by the same prescription compositions and thickness were taken from two different production batch. The samples were stored in a warehouse conditions. Optical and mechanical properties of films were determined directly after their production and after 3, 14, 28 and 56 seasoning days. The effect of seasoning time of films in a warehouse conditions on their properties was evaluated.

Własności mechaniczne staliwa są funkcją przede wszystkim składu chemicznego i procesu krzepnięcia na który można wpływać poprzez zastosowanie zabiegu modyfikacji. Wpływ ten uzależniony jest od zastosowanego modyfikatora. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań, których celem była ocena efektów modyfikacji niskostopowego staliwa konstrukcyjnego wybranymi dodatkami modyfikującymi. Kluczowym elementem jest także obróbka cieplna o odpowiednich parametrach. W ramach badań wykonano dziewięć odlewów modelowych z zastosowaniem różnych modyfikatorów, ocenę skutków zabiegu oszacowano na podstawie otrzymanych wyników badań własności mechanicznych.

This effect depends on the modifier used. The article presents the results of studies designed to assess the effects of structural low alloy steel inoculation by selected modifying additives. A key element is the heat treatment with the appropriate parameters.The study was performed on nine casts modeled with different inoculants, assessment of the procedure impact was based on the mechanical properties of made castings.

Structure, and thus the mechanical properties of steel are primarily a function of chemical composition and the solidification process which can be influenced by the application of the inoculation treatment. This effect depends on the modifier used. The article presents the results of studies designed to assess the effects of structural low alloy steel inoculation by selected modifying additives. The study was performed on nine casts modeled with different inoculants, assessment of the procedure impact was based on the macrostructure of made castings. The ratio of surface area equivalent to the axial zone of the crystals and columnar crystals zone was adopted as a measure of the inoculation effect.
