A modernization of existing main railway lines requires to be checked stability of earthen structures in consideration of increase of service loads, a necessity of railway sub-grade broadening and a need for reinforcement in places of earlier occurring dysfunctions many times. An increase of loads has an impact on coefficient of stability reduction in an essential manner. The high stability margins for newly-built lines impose the necessity of embankment shaping in a technology of reinforced ground on soil-cement base, and the necessity of application of expensive technologies of their sinking soil stabilization together with a base for embankments on modernized lines.
