Projektując przegrody zewnętrzne budynku należy poddać analizie wiele różnych aspektów, takich jak efektywność energetyczna, trwałość, możliwość zbudowania takiej przegrody, wpływ na warunki zdrowotne i zapewnienie komfortu osób przebywających w budynku, bezpieczeństwo pożarowe, akustyka oraz aspekt finansowy. W artykule autorzy analizują kwestie związane z efektywnością energetyczną i procesami cieplno-wilgotnościowymi przegród. Inne tematy poruszane w tym artykule to wpływ przegród na jakość środowiska wewnętrznego.

When designing the building envelope, many different aspects should be analyzed, such as energy efficiency, durability, the possibility of constructing such divisions, the impact on health conditions and ensuring the comfort of people in the building, fire safety, acoustics and the financial aspect. In the article, the authors analyze the issues related to energy efficiency and thermal and humidity processes in partitions. Other topics covered in this review article are the effects of partitions on the quality of the indoor environment.

Podnoszą także jakość życia, jego różnorodność oraz kreują wizerunek uczelni. Academic campuses are associated with vivid spaces, filled with a mix of social activity and interaction, whose users are the academic community – students in particular. Due to the involvement of users themselves, participation of university units, the possibility of interdisciplinary cooperation, contact with real tasks and problems - student’s architectural projects of various areas of the campus are both an interesting didactic and research topic, especially in terms of creating a flexible and multifunctional space, accessibility, sustainable development - in particular, improving the quality of life and diversity, or creating the image of the University. This article describes an example of design cooperation responding to real demand - interior design of the International Cooperation Department of the Silesian University of Technology - the result of the work of design teams of students of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Faculty of Architecture and Interior Design, under the supervision of the authors of the article.

The article concerns the historical conditions for the creation of the Industrial Construction category with prospects for its development in the 21st century. Design solutions adequate to the stages of the industrial revolution and contemporary requirements for such objects were presented. The role of pro-ecological thinking in design, construction and operation processes was emphasized.

Turystyka to jedna z dziedzin gospodarki, która w ostatnich latach rozwija się bardzo dynamicznie. Przykładem tego rozwoju jest Podhale a w szczególności Zakopane, na terenie którego ten rozwój jest szczególnie widoczny. Podhale jest jednym z kilku regionów na terenie Polski, na obszarze którego, na przestrzeni historii wytworzył się specyficzny, unikalny styl architektoniczny, ujawniający się przede wszystkim w budownictwie i sztuce ludowej. Dostrzec można w tym rejonie przykłady działań zmierzających do próby wypracowania nowoczesnych form architektonicznych, które z jednej strony uszanowałyby specyficzny klimat tego regionu, a z drugiej wprowadziły formy współczesne, nowoczesne technologie, które na równi z architekturą regionalną charakteryzowałyby budownictwo tego regionu. W artykule przedstawione zostały zagadnienia, które muszą rozwiązać współcześni projektanci i budowniczowie podczas realizacji współczesnych obiektów usługowych związanych z obsługą turystyczną.

Tourism has been one of the most dynamically developing branches of the economy in recent years. One example of this development is the region of Podhale, and the town of Zakopane in particular, in the area of which this is especially apparent. Podhale is one of the few regions in Poland in which, over the course of history, a distinct and unique architectural style has developed, which particularly manifests itself in folk art and architecture. In this region we can observe examples of attempts aimed at developing modern architectural forms that are to respect the distinct climate of this region on the one hand, while introducing modern forms and new technologies on the other, as something that is meant to characterise the buildings of this region equally to regional architecture. The article presents the problems that modern designers and builders must face while constructing modern commercial buildings associated with tourism.

In the article problems of saving precious drinking water and rational management of rainwater are discussed. Rainwater can be used safely instead of drinking water for washing, toilet flushing and watering plants. The author focuses on joined efforts of urban planners and landscape architects in order to increase the areas of retention within the boundaries of planned developments as it reduces the volume of sewage and keeps the water table intact. In the article's second part, solutions for controlling the microclimate in cities and individual buildings are presented, employed in experimental and standard buildings.
