Monitoring technical states of objects that work in circumstances of incomplete information (so called low-structural systems), poses a serious problem. To solve it using relational models in the form of so called cognitive maps worked out by the authors is proposed. Certain principles of such an approach to static and dynamic models are quoted. Chosen results of the simulation, confirming efficiency of created models, are presented. The work was done within the scientific project no. N N510 468136.

Monitorowanie stanów technicznych obiektów pracujących w warunkach niepełnej informacji (tzw. układów słabostrukturalnych) stanowi powaSny problem. Dla jego rozwiązania zaproponowano uSycie opracowanych przez autorów modeli relacyjnych w postaci tzw. map kognitywnych. Przytoczono pewne zasady takiego podejścia dla modeli statycznych i dynamicznych. Przedstawiono wybrane wyniki symulacji potwierdzające efektywność opracowanych modeli. Pracę wykonano w ramach projektu badawczego nr N N510 468136.

The appropriate emitter database is one of the most important elements in the present electronic intelligence (ELINT) system. This paper provides an overview of the relational modelling, which is used to construct the emitter database for current ELINT systems. The method described, delivers the entities' relational diagram that is independent from the manner of the data storage in further process of implementation. This approach ensures the integrity of the measured data. The process of final emitter identification is based on "the knowledge-based approach" which was implemented during the process of constructing the database.
