Usprawnianie procesów zachodzących w przedsiębiorstwie jest jednym z najbardziej efektywnych sposobów poprawy funkcjonowania całej organizacji. Dotyczy to zarówno procesów strategicznych, czyli tworzących wartość dodaną jak i procesów pomocniczych, do których można zaliczyć m.in. procesy zarządzania bezpieczeństwem i higieną pracy. W artykule przedstawiono metodę identyfikacji i modelowania procesów zarządzania bezpieczeństwem i higieną pracy.

Optimizing business processes is one of the most effective methods of improving organization performance. This optimization concerns both strategic processes that increase the value added in an organization and supporting ones, among others, occupational health and safety management processes. The article discusses a method of identifying and modelling occupational health and safety management processes.

The globalization and much sharper competition on the world force to continuous changes and progress. In management methodologies - as well. Ultimately, in last years, the process management to organizations, as more effective approach, is introduced. But the processes are different importance. The division of them to main processes, groups of processes, elementary processes and tasks (simple actions) permits better structurization of companies (organizations). The mutual dependency influences on final efficiency or effects obtained. Therefore, in many situations, is needed the realization of restructurization of firms with former modelling, oriented to the optimalization of approach. It includes the formulation of "processes maps" what supports the identification of possible problems. It is important not only for big firms but for small and medium-sized ones as well. Unfortunately this performance is not recognized by them. Hopefully the requirements of new ISO 9000:2000 standards, where such approach is in natural way included, will help for the future. These elements are in article presented.
