W pracy przedstawiono przykład analizy numerycznej jednego z ważnych zagadnień brzegowych, a mianowicie obciążania bloku współosiowymi stemplami płaskimi. W ustaleniu algorytmu zagadnienia wykorzystano jedną ze znanych metod teorii stanów granicznych, tzn. metodę charakterystyk równań różniczkowych równowagi granicznej.

An example of the numerical analysis of one of the important boundary problems - loading block with the flat coaxial punches, is presented. For determining the problem solution algorithm, one of the well-known methods based on Limit Load Carrying Capacity theory, i.e. the method of characteristics for limit equilibrium differential equations, was applied.

One of the investigation trends in the mechanics of comminution (crushing and grinding) is modelling of machine processes. The work presents different conceptions (ideas) of this modelling. The matrix model formulated by Epstein, Broadbent and Callcott is shortly described. The cubic model according to the hypothesis of the crushing work multiplicity (I. Brach), the sphere model I and II as well as the cubic model are described in details (these are the new conceptions developed by the author).
