The diagnosis of information potential of selected business process modelling notations

The paper presents the findings of the ease of understanding tests for selected business process modelling notations as an element of diagnosing the notations information potential. The easiest-to-understand notation is identified, as well as the attributes determining the choice of this notation as the easiest to understand. Three notations used in business process modelling have been subjected to diagnosis: EPC, BPMS and BPMN. Based on the results of these analyses, recommendations have been formulated for organisations where process modelling requires the involvement of all employees and where process awareness needs to be developed. Using an intuitive notation may contribute to improved communication between users representing different professional profiles and translate into a higher effectiveness of organisational changes.

W artykule przedstawiona została metoda projektowania elementów typu osłona z zastosowaniem zaawansowanych technik modelowania przestrzennego i wykorzystaniem techniki komponentów pochodnych w środowisku systemu Inventor. Opisana została rola parametrycznego modelu bryłowego, jaką pełni on w integracji projektu, zapewniając jego spójność w fazie modelowania. Analizę zamieszczonych przykładów przeprowadzono na podstawie prac konstrukcyjnych zrealizowanych przez Zespół Mechatroniki ITeE w ramach projektu głowicy pomiarowej w Automatycznym Systemie Monitorowania Propagacji Pękania.

The article presents the method of designing of the elements in cover type with the use of advanced, three - dimensional modelling technique and technique of derivative components in the interface of Inventor system. The role of the parametric solid model in the project integration process is described. The analysis of the included examples was done on the basis of the processes of measuring head designing, conducted by mechatronic team of IteE.
