Construction of a numerical groundwater flow model in areas of intense mine drainage, as exemplified by the Olkusz Zinc and Lead Ore Mining Area in southwest Poland

Areas of intense mine drainage that are subjected to numerical modelling require the construction of a complex model structure that will properly reflect actual conditions. This paper presents the process and results of constructing such a structure for the Olkusz Zinc and Lead Ore Mining Area, an area situated in a cone of depression the extent of which reaches 500 km2. This size range calls for a selection of appropriate external boundaries, properly separated from these of the mine drainage area. The complex geological structure of the Olkusz area, associated with considerable variation in the thickness of rock formations, discontinuities of rock levels and occurrence of numerous faults, must be schematised so that calculation layers can be identified. The faults in the study area have to be reflected in the regional model structure, although only those faults that actually affect groundwater flows should be selected. The model structure needs to include detailed recognition and reflection of hydraulic contacts between aquifer levels, together with a selection of hydrogeological parameters that are different for particular formations. Only a complex structure built in such a manner may be the foundation of further model studies.

W artykule zaprezentowano obszary poddane badaniom w procesie dystrybucji i obsługi technicznej pojazdów i maszyn. Przedstawiono model struktury badań rynkowych procesu dystrybucji i obsługi technicznej pojazdów i maszyn rolniczych, realizowanych przez autoryzowaną firmę dealerską. Scharakteryzowano program Akcja Serwisowa mający na celu wyrównanie struktury popytu na naprawę wyposażenia technicznego gospodarstw. Przedstawiono nowoczesny element zarządzania procesem dystrybucji w postaci Programu Lojalnościowego. Omówiono procedury wyboru ciągników i maszyn rolniczych, którymi dealerzy wspierają klientów, ze wskazaniem kryteriów rozpatrywanych na etapie analizy oferty rynkowej. Zaprezentowano problemy wynikające z rozkładu terytorialnego świadczonej obsługi technicznej.

The article presents research areas in a distribution process and technical maintenance of vehicles and agricultural machines. A structure model of market research of a distribution process and technical maintenance of vehicles and agricultural machines was shown, carried out by a dealer authorised company. The 'Service Action' programme aiming at balancing the demand structure for mending the technical equipment of farms was characterised. A modern element of distribution process management in a form of the 'Loyalty Programme' was presented. Tractors and agricultural machines selection procedures supporting customers by the dealers and indicating criteria considered at the level of the market offer analysis were discussed. The article also presented problems resulting from a territorial schedule of the technical service.

Cohort-type models have a wealth of structure and are important in many fields of application. Being a sub-class of linear positive systems, such a model structure belongs to this class of constrained linear systems which are defined on cones and not on linear spaces. As a consequence much of the theory developed for linear systems is not directly applicable. Whilst the dynamics of cohort-type models. Are well understood their reachability and controllability properties have received little attention in the literature. Using a graph-theoretic characterisation the paper examines these fundamental properties and includes application to some specific models.
