Active-adaptive system of electric power system (EPS) modes control, using its ideal (“economic”) mode is suggested. The process of optimal control is constructed in such a manner that EPS current mode by means of control facilities approaches to “economic” mode. Direction, change of EPS current mode parameters are realized for its improvement and they are determined according to the least action principle (LAP). System of automatic control performs optimization actions in the direction, set by LAP, changing parameters of regulation facilities and controlls limitations of EPS mode parameters.

Artykuł dotyczy optymalizacji kodera HEVC. Proponowana jest nowa metoda wyboru trybów kodowania, w której koder HEVC kodujący sekwencję wejściową sterowany jest przez drugi koder, kompresujący sekwencję odszumioną. Sposób realizacji sterowania zapewnia, iż łączna złożoność obu koderów jest niewiele większa niż złożoność pojedynczego kodera. Zaproponowaną metodę zaimplementowano i przebadano eksperymentalnie. Uzyskane wyniki pokazują, iż umożliwia ona około 1,5% redukcję strumienia bitowego.

The article is related to HEVC encoder optimization. A novel encoder-side mode selection method is proposed. It exploits information about selected modes from a second encoder, which in parallel compresses a denoised version of the input sequence. The realization of the mode selection method ensures that the complexity of both encoders is negligibly larger than complexity of a single encoder. The proposed method has been implemented and assessed experimentally. The results show that it enables up to 1.5% reduction of the bitstream.
