Purpose: The article focuses on defining the concept of mobile technology and social media and presenting the novum aspects most affecting the social reality. The aim of the article is to emphasize the importance of mobile technologies and the continuous development of information technology in terms of the importance of social media. As a result, the article presents opportunities and threats to the world resulting from the use of the described technologies and gives an opinion on the rapid development in this aspect. Design/methodology/approach: The considerations and analysis made it possible to identify the causes of excessive use of mobile technologies and to present the most commonly used types of social media. Findings: The article shows the essence of mobile technologies and the likely direction of development in this aspect. The article defines the social reality in the context of social media and analyzes the modern world determined by technologies. The information contained in the article shows the huge increase in the importance of mobile technologies at the expense of real life and shows the priority of general improvement of the quality of life in favor of addiction and manipulation. Originality/value: The information contained in the article defines the concept of mobile technologies, social media and social reality, presents selected issues related to these aspects and indicates the direction of world development in the context of the issues described.

Purpose: The aim of this article is to assess the functionalities offered by the selected mobile sightseeing guide application. The subject of the consideration is the Mazowieckie Rezerwaty Przyrody application. Design/methodology/approach: The article uses the case study method. The evaluation of the functionalities of the Mazowieckie Rezerwaty Przyrody (Mazovian Nature Reserves) application was made on the basis of the point method. This method has been modified for the needs of this research. Findings: (mandatory) Based on the results of the analysis it was found that the functionalities of the Mazowieckie Rezerwaty Przyrody application are mainly information tools useful for people interested in learning about protected areas located in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. The researched mobile application can also meet various expectations of tourism participants, and it has been designed with the realization of educational tasks through entertainment in mind. Research limitations/implications: (if applicable) The article contains a preliminary study. In the future it is planned to conduct additional quantitative and qualitative research. The study will help to perform a comprehensive analysis of the application being discussed. Practical implications: (if applicable) Conclusions from the discussion can be an inspiration for creating a strategy of promotion of the analyzed mobile application, as well as activities related to improving its functionalities. Social implications: The research conclusions may encourage institutions managing touristic areas to create more complex mobile solutions supporting sightseeing tourism. This solution should offer visitors access to additional information that will enable them to improve their knowledge of tourism and sightseeing. Originality/value: The article uses the example from business practice. This is one of the earliest studies investigating the Mazowieckie Rezerwaty Przyrody application.

W pracy zostały poruszone podstawowe zagadnienia związane z przenikaniem się sfery zawodowej i prywatnej w organizacjach. Publikacja powstała w związku z nagłośnieniem, w ostatnich latach, tematyki Przemysłu 4.0. Wraz z powstawaniem cyberfizycznych linii produkcyjnych w przedsiębiorstwach i rozwojem technologii mobilnej na świecie budowany jest nowy model relacji między pracą a życiem określany jako techlife. W niniejszej publikacji przedstawiono proces ewolucji dotychczasowego modelu „work-life balance” w Przemyśle 4.0 w kierunku „tech-life haromony”.

The article presents some problems of the changes in work and life aspects. The article was realized because last time changes in industry were realized on the level of Industry 4.0. Production was realized by cyber machines and robots, and people uses mobile technology, so in the conditions new relations between work and life are built. The new relations are called tech-life harmony in the place up to now model, that was called work-life balance.

The main goal of the article is generalization of intellectual innovation project of information system “Mobile information assistant of the tourist” (MIAT), which provide a full-featured integrated information and technological support to tourists during planning and implementation stages of his journey using a wide range of modern information technologies. About two-thirds of today's tourists use information technology to plan and support their journey, while a significant number of them use mobile computer and telecommunications devices. The result of the research made by the group of researchers of the University “Lviv Polytechnic” is the project of innovative intelligent system “Mobile information assistant of a tourist” oriented on IT support of the user in planning and realization of his/her tourist trip in accordance with information technology slogan “EVERYTHING! HERE! IMMEDIATELY!!!”.

Integration of Information Communication Technology (ICT) products from different manufacturers to provide friendly support for patients and health professionals is a challenge for organizational, legal, and technological interoperability. To empowerment of patients over 65, it is necessary to support them with proper ICT tools. There are many technological solutions in e-Health sector, which do not support the patient’s complex needs and standards. The CareWell project adapted a formula based on the acquisition of commercial ready-made applications that support the functionality defined for patients, doctors, nurses and the Contact Centers (Call Centers). Lessons learned from the CareWell project phases from beginning of the business processes modeling with their modification for the project needs, as well as mapping of the available functionalities of selected IT platforms, work integration and implementation, are discussed in the paper.

Integracja produktów informatycznych pochodzących od różnych producentów w celu dostarczenia przyjaznych usług pacjentom i pracownikom ochrony zdrowia stanowi wyzwanie w zakresie rozwiązania problemów interoperacyjności organizacyjnej, prawnej i technologicznej. Aby pomóc pacjentom powyżej 65 roku życia, konieczne jest wsparcie ich potrzeb zdrowotnych technologiami ICT (ang. Information Communication Technology). Istnieje wiele rozwiązań technologicznych w sektorze e-Zdrowia, które jednak nie obsługują złożonych potrzeb z uwzględnieniem standardów. Project CareWell przyjął formułę realizacji opartą na nabyciu gotowych aplikacji, które pozwalają na realizacje zdefiniowanych funkcji do obsługi pacjentów, lekarzy i pielęgniarek oraz centrali kontaktowych call center. W pracy omówiono główne wnioski z realizacji poszczególnych faz projektu od początku zamodelowania procesów biznesowych, konieczną ich modyfikację dla potrzeb projektu, jak również mapowanie dostępnych funkcjonalności integrowanych wybranych platform IT.

Wszechobecność technologii mobilnych wpływa na wiele dziedzin życia zmieniając sposób w jaki poszukujemy informacji, komunikujemy się a także spędzamy wolny czas. W pracy przedstawiono koncepcję pozyskania danych na potrzeby multimedialnego przewodnika mobilnego po szlakach turystycznych. W ramach opracowania przeanalizowano dostępną dokumentację szlaków turystycznych oraz przeprowadzono badanie przydatności różnych technologii GNSS do bezpośredniej inwentaryzacji szlaków. Opracowano także przykładowe założenia dotyczące zakresu i sposobu prezentacji danych nawigacyjnych oraz krajoznawczych. Zaprezentowano przykładową wersję testową mobilnej aplikacji zasiloną przykładowymi danymi dotyczącymi trzech szlaków turystycznych okolic jeziora Omulew.

The ubiquity of mobile technologies affects many areas of life by changing the way we look for information, communicate and spend our free time. The paper presents the idea of data acquisition for a mobile multimedia hiking trails guide dedicated for devices running under Android. In this paper, documentation of hiking trails was analyzed and suitability of various GNSS technologies for field mapping of trails was investigated. Also, assumptions regarding the scope and the way of presentation of navigational and sightseeing data were developed. Eventually, the test version of mobile applications was prepared and fed by sample data on three hiking trails surrounding the Omulew Lake.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of GPS-technology (Global Positioning System) in the tourism industry. The study is devoted to the identification and analysis of functionality of mobile computing devices equipped with GPS receiver in tourism industry, the methods and means of their implementation, building on this basis a mobile information technology for tourist support at all stages of his journey. To achieve the goal a number of mobile information systems using data GPS, methods and means of their implementation, a comparative analysis of current cartographic services that are used in the developing of mobile information technology applications for tourist are analyzed. The study outlines the place of GPS-technology in the "Mobile tourist information assistant" system, and the role of Google Maps services for information technology support and implementation of the main tourist features in mentioned mobile information system.

Technologie komunikacji mobilnych, umożliwiając rozmaite przepływy, materialne i niematerialne, biorą aktywny udział we współtworzeniu społeczeństwa i kultury. Korzystanie z nich przez tworzenie globalnej sieci Internet przyspiesza procesy globalizacyjne. Wynikająca z tego wirtualizacja przestrzeni i czasu wraz ze stanem permanentnego „podłączenia” wpływają na relacje międzyludzkie i styl życia.

Their usage within the global network of the Internet accelerates the processes of globalization. The virtualization of space and time together with the state of permanent „connection” affects the relationships and the lifestyle.

W artykule scharakteryzowano klasyczne systemy zarządzania instalacjami w budynkach inteligentnych. Przedstawiono projekt systemu sterowania, monitorowania i wizualizacji instalacji w inteligentnym budynku, wykorzystujący serwer OPC, architekturę SOA, platformę programistyczną .NET oraz usługi sieciowe oferowane przez WCF. Główną cechą przedstawionego systemu jest otwartość i pełna elastyczność w realizacji współpracy z mobilnymi klientami działającymi na różnych platformach systemowych i sieciowych.

In this article classic management systems of installations in intelligent building were characterised. A project of the control, monitoring and visualisation system of the installations in intelligent building was described. This system uses a OPC server, SOA architecture, .NET platform and network services offered by WCF. The main feature of the presented system is open and full flexibility in the implementation of co-operation with mobile clients operating on different platforms and networking.

W artykule przedstawiono nową koncepcję inteligentnych systemów obustronnej głosowej komunikacji urządzeń pomiarowych z operatorem w systemach pomiarowych. Opracowany dla technologii mobilnych, system komunikacji przy pomocy mowy i języka naturalnego pomiędzy urządzeniami pomiarowymi i ich operatorami, wyposażony jest w inteligentne mechanizmy służące do identyfikacji operatora, rozpoznawania słów składowych i całych komunikatów operatora, analizy składni i skutków poleceń, oceny bezpieczeństwa poleceń, nadzorowania procesu pomiarowego oraz oceny reakcji operatora.

In the paper a new concept of the intelligent two-way speech communication system between a measurement device and the operator for measuring systems is presented. Developed for mobile technologies, the communication system by speech and a natural language between measurement devices and their operators consists of intelligent mechanisms for operator identification, speech recognition, word and command recognition, command meaning and effect analysis, command safety assessment, measurement process supervision as well as operator reaction assessment. In the paper there are presented selected problems of the new concept of speech communication in measurement systems (Figs. 1, 2, 3) as well as advantages of recognition and evaluation of speech commands in a natural language with use of hybrid neural networks. Application of hybrid neural networks allows recognising commands of similar meanings but of different lexical and grammatical patterns, which will undoubtedly be the most important way of communication between humans and devices. The condition of the effectiveness of the presented system (Fig. 4) is to equip it with mechanisms of command meaning and effect analysis, as well as safety assessment. In the measurement systems (Fig. 5), the condition of safe communication between operators and measurement devices is the analysis of the measurement device and process state before giving the command and use of artificial intelligence for the effect analysis and safety assessment of the command. The development of a basis for building and applying remote mobile systems of control, supervision and optimisation of measurement processes which communicate an operator with a measurement system is an important goal. These systems enable a remote control of the measurement process quality by an operator being in any distance. It is very significant for development of new effective and flexible methods of measurements. The system for remote control, supervision and optimisation is an innovative solution making it possible to exploit better the measurement methods used nowadays. The presented solution can be included to the attempts of creating the standard of mobile applications for control, supervision and optimisation of measurement processes using two-way speech communication between the measurement device and the operator for measuring systems.

These are the reasons that we can observe information chaos. Solution for that situation can be usage of mobile technologies in the marketing process of gaining customers over and advertising products. Main aim of that article is to present where wireless technologies can be used, how to measure them and finally what are the benefits for the department of marketing and a whole company.
