W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia związane z bezprzewodowymi systemami łączności na potrzeby wojska. Przeanalizowano trzy technologie transmisji danych: radiową (RF), laserową (FSO) oraz hybrydową (FSO/RF). W części badawczej opisano dotychczasowy etap prac związany z realizacją projektu LasBITer, który wskazywał na istotne zalety opracowywanego toru transmisji optycznej na potrzeby łącza FSO/RF. W części eksperymentalnej przedstawiono wstępne wyniki testów układu nadawczo-odbiorczego opracowywanego łącza FSO, które umożliwiły określenie jego potencjału.

This article presents some aspects of wireless communication systems for military applications. Three data transmission technologies such as radio-frequency (RF), free-space optics (FSO) and hybrid (laser/radio) have been analyzed. In the research section, current state of works related to the the LasBITer project is described. These works have pointed to the significant advantages of the developed FSO system for the FSO/RF hybrid data link. In the experimental part, the preliminary results of the FSO transceiver test to determine its potential, are presented.

Prowadzenie operacji militarnych w myśl koncepcji sieciocentrycznych wymaga dostępu do informacji z różnych źródeł w celu osiągnięcia przewagi informacyjnej. Niezbędna jest do tego infrastruktura telekomunikacyjna zdolna do obsługi ruchu zgodnego z protokołem IP. W artykule przedstawiono podstawowe wymagania NNEC (NATO Network Enabled Capability) na infrastrukturę telekomunikacyjną. Przedstawiono podstawowe cechy systemów STORCZYK 2000 oraz ZWT JAŚMIN, skupiając się na możliwości i jakości transmisji IP. Następnie oceniono wyżej wymienione systemy pod kątem dojrzałości do wykorzystania w realizacji usług w środowisku sieciocentrycznym.

The process of running the military operations in thought of NEC concept requires to access to the information from different sources in aim of achievement of informative superiority. The well-organized communication infrastructure capable to service the IP traffic it's necessary in such environment. The paper presents the NEC basic requirements that are introduced on communication infrastructure. The basic features of Polish Military communication systems such as STORCZYK 2000 and JAŚMIN are presented as well. A special focus is put on the capabilities of transferring the IP services with a satisfactory level of QoS. The presented systems were also analyzed according to the possibility of using them in the NEC operations.

The article contains a research report concerning defining the possibilities of cooperation of land forces and departmental and public radio communication systems. In the course of research there were defined potential possibilities of cooperation, separately for land forces radio networks and mobile radio communication networks including dispatching, trunking, cellular and satellite communication. It was proved that in both areas there is a need of parallel cellular network operation which allows for a substantial flow capacity and direct communication enabling reaching distant ranges and having the biggest possibilities of cooperation. Presented cooperation possibilities in land forces’ and public and departmental radio communication do not allow for a close cooperation. The concept of such a cooperation should be based on building an integrated radio communication system that would allow already functioning combat, satellite, trunking and cellular radio networks to communicate on a desired level. It allows particular radio networks to maintain the gradation of effectiveness factors appropriate for the specific character of their functioning and simultaneously evolutionary complementing of introduced solutions.
