Kształcenie w szkolnictwie wyższym boryka się z poważnymi problemami o charakterze praktycznym, które ograniczają zdolność studentów do konkurowania na rynku pracy i wpływają negatywnie na zdolność przyszłego rozwoju gospodarczego kraju. Celem strategicznym szkolnictwa wyższego w obszarze kształcenia jest wprowadzenie w organizacji i programach studiów takich zmian, które ułatwią absolwentom odnalezienie swojego miejsca na szybko zmieniającym się rynku pracy. Oznacza to konieczność elastycznego dostosowywania metod kształcenia do potrzeb rynku pracy i szerszego uczestnictwa uczelni w procesie uzupełniania i aktualizacji wiedzy absolwentów. Artykuł przedstawia ocenę innowacyjnych metod kształcenia kadr branży turystycznej. Metody te mają za zadanie wykształcić wśród studentów umiejętności praktyczne i przygotować ich do wejścia na rynek pracy. W badaniach zastosowano metodę obserwacji oraz sondażu diagnostycznego przy wykorzystaniu techniki ankiety bezpośredniej i opracowanego autorskiego kwestionariusza badań. Badania przeprowadzono na próbie 78 studentów.

Education of students meets serious problems that limit the ability of students to compete in the labor market and adversely affect the ability of future economic development of the country. The main problem is that in Poland in the programs of study is too much theory, and being a little practice. Another problem is that the academic subjects contain too large compared to the theoretical content of the content practical Students should be easy to find a job after graduation. Education programs should be modified so that the student earned as much as practical skills. The article presents the evaluation of innovative methods for the training of personnel of the tourism industry. The study used the method of observation and diagnostic survey using direct survey techniques and developed proprietary research questionnaire. The study was conducted on the research sample of 78 students.

The objective of this paper is to present the fundamental determinants and directions of development of the methods and forms of economic-environmental education within the framework of two fields of study, i.e. economy and management. The paper presents the views of the participants in a discussion on the issue, which took place in Białystok on October 17, 2006, as part of a scientific session of the conference on the Development of methods and forms of economic-environmental education in the Białystok institutions of higher education „Economy and the environment in schools of higher learning". This text is the result of the aforementioned discussion and comprises the discussants' most significant assumptions and conclusions.
