Changes on the electricity market mean that variable costs of energy generation are under unprecedented scrutiny. Add concerns over emission limits, particularly CO2 emissions, and a strong case emerges for enhancing generation efficiency Due to the construction parameters of existing plant and machinery, it is reasonable to assume that increased efficiency might be achieved by identifying optimal load distribution among generation units and rapid detection of elements whose technical condition may reduce efficiency. In both cases comprehensive knowledge about the attributes of existing equipment is required. This article presents methods to boost generation efficiency at current, functioning units.

Przedstawiono podstawowe informacje o systemie TKE, zwracając szczególną uwagę na nowe funkcjonalności i rozwój systemu oraz praktyczne zastosowanie wyników obliczeń. Omówiono również sposoby prezentacji wyników w systemach ostatnio zaimplementowanych przez Energopomiar oraz odniesiono się do wyników obliczeń wskaźników w porównaniu do wyników otrzymanych metodami bezpośrednimi.

Presented are basic informations about the TKE system with special attention to new functionalities and development of the system as well as to a practical application of calculation results. Discussed are also methods of results presentation in systems recently implemented by Energopomiar and a reference is made to factor calculation results in comparison with the results obtained by application of direct methods.

Podano korzyści wynikające z prowadzenia eksploatacji zgodnie z informacjami dostarczanymi przez system. Zaprezentowano nowe sposoby szerszego zastosowania metody TKE.

There are discussed essential assumptions of the system operating according to the TKE method. Presented is the scope of calculations carried out and their results possible to utilise. Advantages arising from plant operation according to the information delivered by the system are given. Presented are new ways of wider use of the TKE method.

Kompleksowy system bilansowania i nadzoru eksploatacji z wykorzystaniem metody TKE służy do pozyskiwania informacji o występujących w elektrowniach, elektrociepłowniach i ciepłowniach stratach energetycznych. Celem jego stosowania jest optymalizacja pracy bloków pod katem zwiększania efektywności ekonomicznej wytwarzania energii elektrycznej i ciepła oraz ograniczania emisji produktów spalania do atmosfery. W referacie przedstawione zostaną podstawowe założenia opracowywania systemu oraz przyjęta metodyka. Podany zostanie sposób interpretacji wyników obliczeń systemu i korzyści wynikające z jego stosowania. Przedstawione będzie praktyczne wykorzystanie systemu w elektrowniach i elektrociepłowniach. Zaprezentowane zostaną możliwe rozszerzenia zakresu stosowania metody i nowe sposoby jej wykorzystania.

The complex system of operation balancing and control using the TKE method is designed to obtain information on power losses occurring at power plants, co-generation plants and heat plants. Its objective is to optimise the operation of units to incrcase economic effectiveness of electric energy and heat generation and reduce emissions of combustion pruducts to the atmosphere. The paper presents both basic assumptions how to prepare the system aud the applied methodology. Besides, a way of interpreting the calculation results of the system and its advantages are given. The paper presents practical applications of the system for power plants and co-generation plants. The paper also shows possibilities of widening the scope of the method application and new ways of its utilisation.
