Artykuł poświęcony jest problematyce zarządzania projektami pod kątem efektywnego wykorzystania technik analitycznych. W części wstępnej przybliżono problematykę projektowania i zarządzania procesami oraz nakreślono wymagania względem produktu końcowego (projektu, usługi). W badaniu zweryfikowano hipotezę, że analiza SWOT oraz metoda QFD istotnie przyczyniają się do obniżenia kosztów, skrócenia czasu projektowania oraz wsparcia procesu pogodzenia świata dostawców z oczekiwaniami potencjalnych klientów. W celu weryfikacji hipotezy posłużono się przykładem wdrożenia rozwiązań chmurowych w organizacji (przedsiębiorstwie), gdzie wykorzystano starannie wyselekcjonowane dane uwzględniające pożądane cechy produktu (usługi) zarówno przez projektantów, jak i docelowych odbiorców. W badaniu wykorzystano jako przykład analizę wdrożenia rozwiązań chmurowych w organizacji (przedsiębiorstwie) celem weryfikacji w jakim stopniu narzędzia analityczne są przydatne do wspomagania projektowania tego typu rozwiązań. Przeprowadzenie analizy SWOT wraz z interpretacją tablic krzyżowych jednocześnie z wykorzystaniem metody QFD pozwoliło na wyciągnięcie wniosków, które odpowiadają na pytanie: Czy prezentowane metody mają zastosowanie w procesie decyzyjnym wdrażania rozwiązań chmurowych oraz w jakim stopniu prezentowane techniki analityczne wspierają proces zarządzania, przekładając się na skrócenie czasu i kosztów projektu, eksponują ryzyko oraz wskazują newralgiczne dla organizacji (przedsiębiorstwa) zagrożenia związane z przedmiotowym projektem? Dane wykorzystane w artykule zostały dobrane deterministycznie z pominięciem procesu ankietowania, ponieważ celem artykułu jest zweryfikowanie możliwości wykorzystania prezentowanych technik analitycznych. Współczynniki wagowe cech w analizie SWOT zostały również dobrane obiektywnie metodą jakościową, przy czym myśląc o dalszym rozwoju badań należałoby przeprowadzić ankietę spodziewanych cech produktu (usługi) na odpowiedniej grupie respondentów co pozwoliłoby na zwiększenie wiarygodności wyniku badań. Zastosowana w przedmiotowy badaniach metodologia może zostać zaimplementowana w procesie projektowania podobnych rozwiązań teleinformatycznych.

The article is devoted to the issues of project management in terms of the effective use of analytical techniques. In the introductory part, the issues of designing were presented and process management, and the requirements for the final product (project, service) were outlined. The study verified the hypothesis that the SWOT analysis and the QFD method significantly contribute to reduce costs, shorten design time and support the process ofreconciling the world of suppliers with the expectations of potential customers. In order to verify the hypothesis, an example of the implementation of cloud solutions in an organization (enterprise) was used, where carefully selected data was used, taking into account the desired features of the product (service) by both designers and target recipients. The study used as an example an analysis of the implementation of cloud solutions in an organization (enterprise) in order to verify to what extent analytical tools are useful for supporting the design of such solutions. Conducting a SWOT analysis together with the interpretation of cross tables simultaneously with the use of the QFD method allowed to draw conclusions that answer the question: Whether the presented methods are applicable in the decision-making process of implementing cloud solutions and to what extent the presented analytical techniques support the management process, translating into a reduction in project time and costs, they expose the risk and indicate the critical threats for the organization (enterprise) related to the project in question? The data used in the article were selected deterministically, omitting the survey process, because the purpose of the article is to verify the possibility of using the presented analytical techniques. The weighting coefficients of the features in the SWOT analysis were also selected objectively using the qualitative method, while thinking about further development of the research, a survey of the expected features of the product (service) should be conducted on the appropriate group of respondents, which would allow to increase the credibility of the research results. The methodology used in this research can be implemented in the process of designing similar ICT solutions.

In many city centres and some large urban areas, access restrictions are imposed on trucks and vans. On the other hand, the number of e-commerce packages to be delivered daily is increasing rapidly, and service companies of all kinds also have to serve their customers in these areas. The use of cargo bikes is seen as a possible solution. The direct reason for this research is the observation that there is still room for a new type of cargo bike that meets the needs of the outlined target groups. This article summarises how the quality function deployment (QFD) method has been used for the systematic development of an electric cargo tricycle that meets these needs. The developed tricycle distinguishes itself from existing cargo bikes mainly by its loading capacity, stability and manoeuvrability. The prototype tests performed by professional couriers were so positive that a pilot series was built.

The competitive and turbulent environment generates the need to use various techniques to determine the level of product quality. In this aim, it is necessary to determine the direction of improvement attributes and function of the product based on customer requirements, which are usually uncertain. Therefore, the aim of the article is to propose the technique to improve the product quality by precisely determine the customers' requirements and the importance of the quality parameters for the current attributes of the product. This technique is a combination of methods i.e.: the QFD method (Quality Function Deployment) with the GRA method (Grey Relational Analysis). Using the QFD method, customer requirements were translated into technical features of the product. In turn, using the GRA method the imprecise customers' requirements were reduced and the importance of quality parameters was determined in a more accurate way. A test of a combination of the QFD and GRA methods for the household vacuum cleaner was made. The originality of the article is ensuring a precise study of the current attributes of the product from the point of customer satisfaction.

The aim of the study was to use one of the quality management methods - the QFD method - in a design office offering, among other things, passive house designs. In addition, the effectiveness of the QFD method in the passive house design process was assessed, and the strength of the relationship between customer requirements and technical parameters was analyzed. Achieving these goals was done through the use of respondents’ answers regarding the studied issue as well as the creation and analysis of a quality house, the parts of which were related to each stage of the QFD method. The study confirms the effectiveness and versatility of the QFD method in the field of construction services, and also confirms the large number of strong relationships that exist between customer requirements and the technical parameters related to the construction of a passive house.

High doses of medical waste evidence that health waste management is problematic. A case study was conducted at various health institutions. This research analyzes various issues in the area of medical waste management. The research examines the perception of staff regarding medical waste management. The purpose of the study is to investigate the level of knowledge, attitudes and role of health practitioners in the management of medical waste. Here the quality index and the environmental index of two health centers are studied; one is a private hospital and the other one a state hospital and compares these two indices with a questionnaire. To provide environmentally friendly services, customers and environmental criteria have to be taken into account in the decision-making process and distributing the Green Quality Function provides a very useful way to achieve this goal.

It is not an easy task although the method itself has many advantages. The aim of the paper is to analyse basic international literature as well as the main advantages and limitations of the Quality Function Deployment.

The paper presents an analysis of the usability of a selected web site using the QFD quality method. User requirements and related technical parameters used for creating diagrams of similarities and dependencies have been identified. Diagrams showing user and technical benchmarking as well as graphs of target values evaluated for user requirements and technical parameters were created.

W pracy przedstawiono analizę użyteczności wybranego serwisu internetowego przy wykorzystaniu jakościowej metody QFD. Zidentyfikowano wymagania użytkowników oraz związane z nimi parametry techniczne tworząc diagramy podobieństw i zależności. Opracowano zarówno wykresy przedstawiające wyniki benchmarkingu użytkownika oraz benchmarkingu technicznego, jak i wykresy wartości docelowych obliczone dla wymagań użytkownika i parametrów technicznych.

How to translate the subjective customers needs on engineers’ technical language of product or process? The response is to develop QFD method. QFD method is used to design new product or improve the actual version of product and consists of analyzing the specific clients needs and determine the relationship between them and the technical characteristics of the products. The article presents the combined use the QFD method and CTQ tree (one’s of Six Sigma tools) to improve the actual version of the farm truck trailer. The starting point was define the customers and their needs. The result of the analysis was to determine the necessary improvement action and key areas in terms of the analysed product.

W jaki sposób przekładać subiektywne potrzeby klientów na techniczny język inżynierów produktu lub procesu? Odpowiedź to wykorzystanie metody QFD. Stosuje się ją do zaprojektowania lub udoskonalenia produktu, a polega ona na analizowaniu specyficznych potrzeb klientów i określaniu relacji pomiędzy nimi a technicznymi charakterystykami produktów. W artykule przedstawiono połączone wykorzystanie metody QFD oraz drzewa CTQ (jednego z narzędzi Six Sigma) do udoskonalenia przyczepy rolniczej. Punktem wyjścia była identyfikacja klientów i zdefiniowanie ich potrzeb. Efektem analizy było określenie obszarów kluczowych i koniecznych działań w zakresie badanego produktu.

The paper presents problems of technical product preparation tasks aimed at product selection and redesign for particular application supported by Al methods. The identification of customer needs was discussed, as well as the issues of product decomposition were presented. The QFD method was suggested to be applied as the product and process data integration tool, where the engineering characteristic of a product was combined with its trade characteristic. In the industrial product characteristic, the delivery time, which can be fixed with the use of graph based scheduling method, is particularly important. The paper shows that thanks to the application of KBS methods in production preparation it is possible to support decision making connected with product selection for particular use.

W pracy przedstawiono analizę zadań technicznego przygotowania produkcji (TPP) ukierunkowanych na dobór i adaptację wyrobu do danego zastosowania wspomaganą metodami Al. Analizie poddano zagadnienia identyfikacji potrzeb klienta. Omówiono zagadnienia dekompozycji wyrobu. Zastosowano metodę QFD jako narzędzia integracji danych z zakresu TPP. Charakterystykę techniczną wyrobu powiązano z charakterystyką handlową obejmującą m.in. termin realizacji. Wykazano, że zastosowanie metod KBS w przygotowaniu produkcji umożliwia wspomaganie decyzji w zakresie doboru wyrobu do danego zastosowania.

In the presented paper there is an example of using QFD method to analyze the quality of services at the hospital. For example, we analyze the three wards of the selected hospital - General Surgery, Otolaryngology and Neurology. There is a full analysis of QFD, and set out what action should be taken to improve the quality of services in the studied hospital. The study indicates that the QFD method can be successfully used as a tool to improve medical services.

The method is typically used in quality management during the new article design process and can be successfully applicable in the demand definition phase and its further conversion to the system's aims.

Implementacja metody do analizy miasta pozwala na wyselekcjonowanie tych wymagań ekologicznych, które przyczynią się do wzrostu poziomu jakości życia mieszkańców.

In this pubication, it has been modified and used in environmental management. As an example, ecologically modiefied QFD was implemented for Będzin district in Poland. Implementing this method in a town allows to select activities that are crucial for fulfilling ecological requirements and it leads to the improvement of the life quality of the citizens.

Zastosowanie metody QFD może przynieść polskim przedsiębiorstwom wiele korzyści. Jednakże dotychczas metoda ta nie była w naszym kraju szeroko stosowana, a na pewno wykorzystywano ją rzadziej od innych metod projektowania jakości, jak np. FMEA. Sytuacja była spowodowana między innymi złym dostosowaniem starej normy ISO 9001 do tej metody oraz niewielką wiedzą przedsiębiorstw na temat możliwości jej zastosowania. Obecnie, gdy funkcjonuje nowa norma, wydaje się, że metoda QFD może stać się idealnym rozwiązaniem pomagającym zapewnić odpowiednią jakość produktów i usług i ich dobre dostosowanie do potrzeb klienta.

Using QFD method may be very advantageous for polish firms. But up till now this method was not frequently using in our country. Other method of quality management like FMEA, were using more often. Situation was due to bad adjustment of ISO 9001 norm to customer preferences management and lack of people's knowledge about possibility of using this method. Now the situation changed. There is a new one ISO 9001:2000 certificate and we think that QFD method could be a ideal solution for many firms. QFD can bring many advantages to the user especially can help to adjust quality of products and services to customer's demands.

The article presents an approach based on a joint, integrated application of two instruments of quality management - QFD and hoshin. The authors stress the fact that both methods develop cooperation between individual employees and departments, which makes it easier to develop staff awareness through involving them in objective-setting tasks. Integration of two key stages of strategic planning, i.e. design and implementation of a strategy by means of those instruments allows staff identification with the objectives and consequently makes strategy implementation easier. It should also be noted that complementing the hoshin method with the QFD one at the strategy (re-) design stage allows making sure that the strategy meets the needs of all stakeholders.

Metoda FMEA sama w sobie przynosi duże efekty, jednak nie rozwiąże wszystkich problemów związanych z wyrobem. Najlepiej stosować ją w połączeniu z innymi narzędziami zarządzania jakością, na przykład metodą QFD.

The FMEA-method itself is very beneficial tool for companies, but it doesn't solve all problems related to the product. The best performance would be based on the use of it in cooperation with other quality tools, e.g. with QFD (Quality Function Deployment), and so on. The FMEA-analysis helps significantly in the evaluation of quality costs and in the reduction of them. But in the same time it causes the growth of other quality costs elements. In investigation realized by authors was noticed an increase of 9% in testing and evaluation process. The preventive costs increased 11% as well. But the final and general effect was positive. It evidences the usefulness of methodology in practical approach, Some conclusions are linked with better awareness of employees, because the training costs increased 6% too, resulting even positively. All problems, related to the research realized in national companies, are in the publication demonstrated. The discussion of results obtained is presented and analyzed.
