The aim of the study is a determination of reservoir parameters distribution in the Grotów reservoir region, with application of test results carried out by means of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance method. The framework of the study included complex laboratory measurements of core plugs properties, including first of all distributions of porous space water saturation by means of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) method, but also specific and volumetric density, as well as total porosity coefficient and permeability of rocks, mineral composition of rocks based on X-ray analyses, electrical parameters of rocks, i.e. electrical resistance of rocks for varying coefficients of porous space saturation with water, porous structure indices and wettability of rocks. 102 samples, originating from 3 boreholes - Grotów-1, -2, and -6, were analysed. The study finally resulted in irreducible, capillary and free water saturation distribution maps for the examined region.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with hyperpolarized 3^He is a new method of studying structure and function of lungs. We present a novel low field MRI system based on permanent magnet and the 3^He polarizing unit being built in Krakow. Our system is designed to perform experiments on small animals (rats).
