Research into bearing currents occurring in high - power converter - fed drives

This paper discusses the phenomenon of bearing currents occurring in converter-fed drives. A digital station designed to measure those currents has been described along with research results. Two ways of earthing the shaft were investigated. It was proven, that the ąuality of earthing considerably impacts the strength of bearing currents.

W referacie zaprezentowano system pomiarowy przeznaczony do zbierania danych z liczników energii elektrycznej wykorzystujący technologię PLC (Power Line Communication). Przedstawiono wyniki badań jakości transmisji danych w sieci energetycznej w opisywanym systemie. Opisano wyniki badań głowicy optycznej pozyskującej dane z indukcyjnych liczników energii elektrycznej. Przedstawiono koncepcję rozwojową opisanego systemu pomiarowego polegającą na zastosowaniu technologii sensor network.

The paper presents distributed metering system designated for collecting data from electricity meters. The system uses Power Line Communication (PLC) technology for data transmission. Electricity meters were equipped with communication units with PLC modem. Here are presented results of quality test of PLC transmission in considered system. The reading head for data acquisition from classic electricity meters is presented as well, which enables data reading of measurement data without disturbing the meter. Some final remarks are devoted to development of the reading system using sensor network technology.
