Sodium sulphate Na2SO4ź10H2O is produced on industrial scale in the process of mass crystallization from the water solutions of sodium sulphate. In order to produce the crystal population of the required size distribution, it is necessary to know the optimum technological parameters of the continuous process, mainly the metastable zone width under various hydrodynamic conditions. The performed measurements with the application of a natural cooling method covered: concentration range c(r) = 138 - 409 gźdm3 temperature T = 13 - 31°C, mixer's location in 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 of the liquid high, mixer's revolution number: 800, 1000 i 1600 revźmin-1. The values of the maximal relative supersaturation are within (S)= 1.05 - 1.46 range, which corresponds to deltac(max) =13-64 gźdm3 and deltaT(max) = 0.7 - 5.3°C.
