W materiałach hutnictwa cynkowego występuje szereg pierwiastków towarzyszących głównym składnikom, tj. Zn, Pb, takich jak: In, Fe, As, Cu, Cd, Sb, Tl. W pracy przedstawiono model bilansowania składników (tj. pierwiastków towarzyszących), a także ich skład fazowy, co z kolei stanowiło podstawę oceny możliwości ich odzysku, a także wpływu na środowisko.

Materials of zinc metallurgical process comprise many accompanying elements such as Fe, As, Cu, Cd, Sb, Tl. Content of these elements depends on chemical constitution of raw materials and the course of technological process. During manufacturing process accompanying elements concentrate which gives opportunities of its recovery but also the danger of its increased discharge into the environment appears. Determining of accompanying elements’ concentration and forms of its occurrence in particular materials in all technological knots gives the knowledge of its distribution in metallurgical process, which allows to determine possibilities of its recovery and estimation of its influence upon environment. This paper presents metallurgical balance-sheet which shows dependence between rawmaterials and products, which is basis for assessment of the accompanying elements retrieval and influence on environment.
