The paper presents an information technology for assessing the degree of engraftment of dental implants in the event of a pathology violation through the use of fuzzy sets, which allows using this method for medical diagnostic tasks. Main scientific results: developed algorithms and mathematical models that formalize the process supporting diagnostic decisions based on fuzzy logic; developed mathematical models of membership functions that formalize the presentation of qualitative and qualitative informational features based on the rules of fuzzy logic, which can be used in information expert systems when assessing the degree of engraftment of dental implants in case of disease with pathological diseases.

W artykule przedstawiono technologię informacyjną do oceny stopnia wszczepienia implantów stomatologicznych u pacjentów z przewlekłą chorobą wątroby za pomocą zbiorów rozmytych, co pozwala na zastosowanie tej metody do medycznych zadań diagnostycznych. Główne wyniki naukowe: opracowano algorytmy i modele matematyczne formalizujące proces wspomagania podejmowania decyzji diagnostycznych w oparciu o logikę rozmytą; opracowano matematyczne modele funkcji przynależności formalizujące reprezentację ilościowych i jakościowych cech informacyjnych opartych na regułach logiki rozmytej, które mogą być wykorzystane w informatycznych systemach ekspertowych do oceny stopnia wszczepienia implantów stomatologicznych u pacjentów z przewlekłą chorobą wątroby.

The reported diagnosis supporting system was provided with knowledge base determined by the disease characteristic features descriptors that were recorded in conclusions table. Every descriptor defines the elementary rules related to every disease factor threshold value, recognised as a sign of the disease presence (the over-gone physiological state). The introduced definitions of the disease characteristics and some fuzzy logic proposals implementations were defined for the decision making system development.

The paper concerns the implementation of some diagnostic measures describing gait disturbances produced by neurological diseases. The discussed contribution explains various experiments provided by the authors' works on Parotec System for Windows development [1]. The subject of the investigations was defined by many experiments carried-out at clinics, with gait's characteristic features analysis, involving the fuzzy logic paradigms. The linguistic notations of diagnostic classes are computed dynamically in accordance with disease statistics, provided by the characteristics of the patient under investigation. The comprehensive system was recognised as a friendly user package, which insulates the user from the complex analysis of measures describing the physiological gait characteristic features. What is more, the application has the ability to be tuned more precisely after the data record size has grown. The software-units implementation provided the user with a selftuned system that enriches the application knowledge, during the data acquisition, while the set of the data records is still growing.

The paper presents organization and performance of the module structure expert system for medicine and discussion on certain information technology problems connected with building and exploitation of the system. The considered problems mainly deal with knowledge acquisition automation and hypermedia applications for well communication. After discussion some remarks on conception of knowledge acquisition and dialog organization as well as some conclutions relative to their implementability and utilizability are also given.

Strategies are presented which facilitate knowledge ordering for knowledge application in inference assisting medical systems. In spite of general accepted opinions, it has been demonstrated that, not technical computer constraints but difficulties resulting from the fuzzy character of medical science constitute a substantial limitation to what concerns the possibility of creation of models formulated even in a traditional way (descriptive, verbal, graphic).

After characterizing the main tasks of medical and ecological expert system the paper presents certain problems in knowledge acqusition automation, such as identification of patient states and nature phenomenas or their description followed by formalization and coding. The general rules of knowledge acquisition automation are first presented and then reffered to medical and ecological expert systems. The final remarks cover the comparison of the ideas presented, their implementability and utilizability.
