Przedstawiono przegląd literatury dotyczący badań procesu spalania glinu. Opisano mechanizmy tego procesu dla cząstek glinu o średnicach rzędu nanometrów i mikrometrów, scharakteryzowano etapy następujące po etapie zapłonu cząstek, sprawdzono, jak warunki pomiarowe (ciśnienie, środowisko utleniające) wpływają na spalanie glinu.

A review, with 66 refs., of the types and mechanisms of Al particles oxidn. of various sizes and with different oxide coatings. The description of the mechanisms took into account the phys. chem. properties of Al and Al₂O₃, their phase and structural transitions as well as interactions occurring at the phase boundary. The stages of combustion were characterized and the parameters such as particle size, oxide layer thickness, type of oxidizing environment, pressure and temp. affecting the course of Al combustion.
