Ceramic materials on the base of system Ba0,4Sr0,6(R0,5Nb0,5)O3, where R are rare-earth ions of yttrium group (Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu), developed and investigated. The prepared dielectric materials with complex perovskite structure containing two different type of ions in A and B positions have a wide spectrum of relative dielectric constant values, low dielectric losses, high thermal stability in temperature range -20…+200°?. Using of the mechano-chemical activation method for preparation of the powdered ceramics has allowed to lower annealing temperature upon 200 - 300°C and to prepare the high density samples with porosity not higher than 5%.

Zbadano ceramiczne materiały na bazie struktur Ba0,4Sr0,6(R0,5Nb0,5)O3, gdzie R sąjonami pierwiastków ziem rzadkich grupy itru (Ho, Er, Tm, Yb i Lu). Rozpatrywane dielektryczne materiały z kompleksem ze strukturą perowskit zawierające dwa różne typy jonów w A i B położeniach mają szerokie spektrum znaczeń względnej stałej dielektrycznej, niskie straty dielektryczne, wysoką termiczną stabilność w zakresie temperatur - 20…+200°?. Użycie mechaniczno-chemicznej metody aktywacji dla przygotowania sproszkowanej ceramiki pozwala obniżyć temperaturę wygrzewania o 200 - 300°C i przygotować próbki wysokiej gęstości z porowatością nie większą niż 5%.

The mechanochemical activation of solids of interest as an alternative method of inducing physico-chemical alterations in the surface and bulk properties of materials. In this review it has been shown several possible ways in which mechanical energy can initiate topochemical reactions towards multicomponent catalyst syntheses. A number of practical examples of mechanically activated systems are considereb. Some of these are: Al2O3, Fe2O3, ZnO-CrO4.
