Applying Harmonic Analysis in the Measurements of Geometrical Deviations of Crankshafts – Roundness Shapes Analysis

The article presents measuring procedures and principles of determining deviations of shape and location of the crankshaft main necks assembly axis. We also described mathematical methods of roundness shapes description based on the harmonic analysis theory for the cases when the shaft is set with the external journals in prisms and for the case when the shaft is set on the external front faces in the claws. The results of sample calculations realized on the basis of the proposed mathematical methods have been presented in a form of diagrams of so called amplitude spectrum and in a graphic form of roundness shapes expressed in a polar coordinate system. The procedures described find a practical use during measurements of geometrical deviations of crankshafts realized on the basis of a measuring system with so called flexible support of the measured object.

Omówiono możliwość zastosowania strukturalno-algorytmicznych metod do poprawy dokładności ilościowej analizy chemicznej przy użyciu chromatograficznych systemów pomiarowych z detekcją spektrometrem mas. Zaproponowano zwiększenie dokładności wyników poprzez wyeliminowanie wpływu niepewności w procesie przygotowania próbki. Po bezpośrednim skalibrowaniu spektrometru mas oszacowano dyspersję i całkowitą niepewność analizy. Rozważania zilustrowano przykładem numerycznym.

Tripping, slipping and falling accidents are among the types of accident with a high incidence. This article describes the requirements concerning slip resistance, as well as the state of the art of slip resistance measurement standards in the European Community and the USA. The article also describes how risk assessment can be performed in the field.

W artykule przedstawiono rozwój badań nad właściwościami reologicznymi płynów stosowanych w różnych procesach inżynierskich. W ujęciu historycznym opisano przyrządy pomiarowe oraz metody badawcze. Następnie przedstawiono najnowsze rozwiązania konstrukcyjne aparatury pomiarowej, opisując ich wady i zalety. Analizując obowiązujące w przemyśle naftowym akty normatywne, precyzujące zasady pomiaru i wyznaczania parametrów reologicznych płynów, nakreślono kierunki rozwoju metod pomiarowych i ewentualnych zmian istniejących procedur.

The development of investigations on the rheological properties of fluids applied for various engineering works is presented in the paper. A historical outline of measuring devices and research methods is given. The novel design of measuring apparatuses, with their advantages and disadvantages, are discussed. In view of the legal aspects for oil industry, regulations defining the principles of measuring and determining rheological parameters of fluids, the development of measuring methods and possible modifications of the existing procedures are outlined.
