Na podstawie analizy wyników przedstawionych w pracy¹⁾ zaproponowano nową metodykę otrzymywania matryc emulsji. Otrzymane próbki zbadano pod względem struktury i morfologii stosując spektroskopię w podczerwieni (IR), dyfrakcję rentgenowską (XRD) oraz skaningową mikroskopię elektronową (SEM). Matryce otrzymane wg nowej procedury wykazały większe uporządkowanie struktury. Porównując uzyskane wyniki z danymi przedstawionymi w pracy1) stwierdzono zanik białych smug (pochodzących od emulgatora) oraz powiększenie się obszarów maksymalnego upakowania cząstek.

Two explosive matrix emulsions were prepd. by using a fertilizer or a mixt. of NH₄ and Na nitrates(V) and a hydrocarbon oil and studied for group compn. and crystal morphol. by IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The products showed improved long-range order. The disappearance of white smudges and an enlargement of the honeycomb structure areas were obsd.

The results presented in this paper are a continuation of the previously published studies. The results of hest treatment of ductile iron with content 3,66% Si and 3,80% Si were produced. The experimental castings were subjected to austempering process for time 30, 60 and 90 minutes at temperature 300oC. The mechanical properties of heat treated specimens were studied using tensile testing and hardness measurement, while microstructures were evaluated with conventional metallographic observations. It was again stated that austempering of high silicone ferritic matrix ductile iron allowed producing ADI-type cast iron with mechanical properties comparable with standard ADI.

Ductile iron casts with a higher silicone content were produced. The austempering process of high silicone ductile iron involving different austempering times was studied and the results presented. The results of metallographical observations and tensile strength tests were offered. The obtained results point to the fact that the silicone content which is considered as acceptable in the literature may in fact be exceeded. The issue is viewed as requiring further research.

Austenitization is the first step of heat treatment preceding the isothermal quenching of ductile iron in austempered ductile iron (ADI) manufacturing. Usually, the starting material for the ADI production is ductile iron with more convenient pearlitic matrix. In this paper we present the results of research concerning the austenitizing of ductile iron with ferritic matrix, where all carbon dissolved in austenite must come from graphite nodules. The scope of research included carrying out the process of austenitization at 900oC using a variable times ranging from 5 to 240 minutes,and then observations of the microstructure of the samples after different austenitizing times. These were supplemented with micro-hardness testing. The research showed that the process of saturating austenite with carbon is limited by the rate of dissolution of carbon from nodular graphite precipitates.

Continuous drive friction welding of cast AlSi/SiC(p) metal matrix composites in systems AlSi11-AlSi9/SiC/21(p), AlSi9/SiC/21(p)-AlSi9/SiC/21(p) AlSi11/SiC/15(p)-AlSi11/SiC/15(p) have been made. Examination of welds microstructure revealed that during friction welding process three different zones of size and distribution reinforced particles in the metal matrix appeared. Discernible effect of friction welding parameters on the microstructure matrix has been noticed. Subsequent hardness tests confirmed changes in matrix microstructure and influence particles redistribution on the weld mechanical properties.

There is a pronounced correspondence between the mechanical properties of composite materials and their structure. In [2] we were concerned with the effect of fibre/matrix cohesion on mechanical properties. In the present work, an analysis of matrix structure of composite materials was used to explain some anomalies in the mechanical properties of composite materials.

The present. paper reports the results obtained with the method of "polycrystalline ENDOR crystallography" of 31 P transitions of some bis (disubstituted-dithiophos-phinato)copper(II) complexes, magnetically diluted in the corresponding Nj(II), Pd(II) and Pt(II) host lat.ticcs. Two distinct. types of 31 p ENDOR transitions have been detected for all samples -local 31 P (-4iso ca. 17 MHz and /laniso ca. 0.7 MHz), and distant. 31p {J-liso ca. 0.9 MHz and Aaniso ca. 0.2 MHz). Data. confirm that; the principal directions of both 31 p coupling tensors coincide. Conclusion on the cases of arising distant ENDOR transition pairs is made on the basis of EN DOR, single crystal EPR and X-ray data.
