Gipsowe materiały budowlane są powszechnie stosowane w Polsce w procesach wykańczania wnętrz budynków. O ich popularności zdecydowały przede wszystkim walory estetyczne oraz szybkość wykonania prac wykończeniowych. Właściwości techniczne gipsu ograniczają wykorzystanie materiałów wytworzonych na jego bazie do wykonywania wypraw tynkarskich, okładzin lub przegród, które nie będą trwale narażone na oddziaływanie wilgoci. Długotrwały kontakt z wodą może być przyczyną uszkodzeń elementów wykończeniowych wykonanych z tego materiału. Stosowanie domieszek hydrofobizujących przy produkcji materiałów gipsowych pozwala na rozszerzenie zakresu ich zastosowania. W artykule przedstawiono warunki techniczne aplikacji materiałów na bazie gipsu w pomieszczeniach o podwyższonej wilgotności.

Gypsum building materials are widely used in Poland in the process of finishing the interiors of buildings. Their popularity was determined primarily by their high aesthetic qualities combined with the speed of execution of finishing works. The technical properties of gypsum limit the use of materials based on this raw material for plastering, cladding or partitions that will not be permanently exposed to moisture. Prolonged contact with water can cause damage to finishing elements made of this material. The use of hydrophobizing admixtures in the production of gypsum materials allows to expand the scope of their application. The article presents technical conditions for the application of gypsum materials in rooms with increased humidity.

W artykule przedstawiono właściwości i możliwości zastosowania materiałów gipsowych. Zaprezentowano wybrane dodatki termoizolacyjne stosowane w zaprawach budowlanych. Zwrócono uwagę na poprawę właściwości termoizolacyjnych materiałów budowlanych dzięki odpowiedniemu doborowi składników modyfikujących.

The article presents the properties and practical applicability of gypsum-based materials. Selected thermal insulation additives used in mortars are presented. Attention is drawn to improvement of thermal insulation properties of construction materials, with the right choice of modification agents.

The thesis presents the results of laboratory research concerning the influence of combined silicon and epoxy resin supplements on hydrophobic and water resistance features of gypsum materials. For comparative reasons, the first stage concerns the influence of singular modifying preparations. It has been proved that both silicon and epoxy resins introduced to gypsum compositions separately have advantageous influence on hydrophobic and water resistance features of modified gypsum materials. However, they do not protect these materials against destructive water effects. The second stage of the research concerned introducing two preparations that have different modifying characteristics simultaneously. The results prove that this research direction is justified and it allows to obtain gypsum materials with increased hydrophobic and water resistance features, which can be used in higher humidity places.
